Ok, I was just reading a "hot topic" on the main board and so I just thought I'd throw out this question in this forum...Yesterday's dream sequence featuring Daniel's rather "intense" dream about Chloe sure is getting a lot of attention over there on the main forum. Personally, I thought the scene was great and SC was about as hot as it gets...not only did he look fantastic , but I totally "bought" that he was miserable/sleep deprived because he's so lonely without Chloe in his life...So with that in mind, I thought the scene was just fine...

BUT, there are many who seem to think that TPTB went to far with the way the scene was shot (camera angles, etc.), and also that the way Dan woke up was a little too close to a wet dream sequence for daytime TV. (And someone even mentioned that since it was a holiday it probably wouldn't have been too great if the kiddies were watching, and I can't say I can disagree with that...)

So I'm just wondering if anyone else thought it went too far? (Or am I a total perv for watching and then rewinding it -- several times -- to watch again?! LOL...) Well, I just wondered what anyone else thought...

Well, it didn't bother me but then Trueblood is my second favorite primetime show. Honestly, the sex scenes on soaps are tame compared to what I remember from when I was a kid...does anyone else remember fauxMax and Gabrielle's reunion in the barn on OLTL? It went on for the whole episode and I had to cover my eyes & turn the sound down.

From the viewpoint of developing Daniel and Chloe as a pair outside the bedroom, it was a mistake to show Daniel having a "vivid" dream like this. But I don't know that a romantic, non-sexual dream would make any difference.

I have read most comments on the main board regarding the so called wet dream. I don’t agree at all.
Most men I know sleep in their shorts. Nothing wrong with a man on his own bed in his shorts rolling around dreaming. One lady on the main board said that her kid watched and she felt very uncomfortable. Kiddies see a man or a woman sleeping on a bed, in their night cloths, what is wrong with that? Now if the kids happen to watch the flashback , yes very inappropriate, but Daniel on bed was totally normal and innocent for me. He woke up in pain he jumped out of bed because he couldn’t stand his own pain anymore. That’s all.

I watched it over and over on youtube on the weekend and I never thought "wet dream" until I read some of the comments. He just looked like a man having a dream about making love to the gal he is in love with, then getting jolted that he is still remembering her so vividly, and waking up. I doubt that it was meant to come off that way (wet dream) but some of these viewers have a one-track mind. They accuse Danloe as being porn and then only see sex in everything they do. I loved the dream sequence..at least Daniel is sexy & looked hot in his boxers. Lucas, on the other hand, make my skin crawl.

thank you for posting that, I like the good Dr. and he is one sexy man on and off the screen. I agree with you on the last sentence also, he can't even compare to Dan and Chloe in a scene.

I agree with you, i have watched it several times as well and "wet dream" never came to mind. i see a man who can't sleep and loves chloe so much she is on his mind no matter what he does. I also liked the added bonus of seeing him in his boxers. as for children watching, what would they be watching this type of program if there parents are around?,

ITA, I can't stand Lucas with Chloe and I thought that Daniel's dream, while a bit "vivid", was completely believable. I'm glad to hear that others thought the same thing. I mean, lots of real guys sleep in boxers and I totally "bought" that Daniel was just having a difficult time sleeping/keeping Chloe off his mind. I think that is one of the things that I like about the way SC plays Daniel -- he seems more realistic to me (if there is such a thing on a soap). I mean, Daniel's character may not go around gushing sweet nothings to Chloe, but I like the fact that he not all mushy -- none of this namby-pamby "my darling, my dearest...crap" that we see elsewhere on Days coming from Daniel. Nothing wrong with that in my book -- so IMO the dream made perfect sense and the way SC played Daniel's angst was perfect. (Not to mention that he looked damn near perfect doing it!)

Anyway...I think that a lot of people on the main forum "have it in" for Daniel because Danloe isn't the typical soapy, "romantic" s/l (and to each their own -- even I like a little of that...), but I for one like it when the characters involved seem more like real people. JMHO. And I also think that there are those that can't handle that the romance here is somewhat based on the fact that Daniel and Chloe have an obvious physical attraction/connection that neither can deny. To me, that's all part of the equation of true love -- gotta be some sparks from the beginning or else no romance is gonna even develop -- and IMO they've definitely got sparks!

Oh, and as for kids watching -- I actually don't think most kids who are old enough to really pay attention would want to watch this to begin with!! I mean, my 8-year old (who isn't allowed to watch Days) would probably see it and say "eww, yuck... kissing..." and walk away! But if she did happen to have seen that dream sequence, she'd have not thought of anything other than "there's a guy in bed in his shorts". Thank goodness for childhood innocence! And ITA with the last poster -- most kids shouldn't have access to it to begin with!! (But I know all parents don't always do what they are supposed to, so that's why I mentioned that it might have been inappropriate in my o/p...)

Anyway...just glad to see that I'm not considered a perv because I thought Dr. Dan looked hot as heck the other day! Just wondered what everyone else thought!

OMG! Tar and feather him already!! He was sleeping in boxers with his legs spread. I didn't see "little Danny" come out of the cave at all, if you know what I mean Like I said, I am enjoying the sexual aspect of this SL because of the chemistry between D&C, but wet dream never occured to me. When I saw the thread on the main boaard, I really thought it was joke (and still do, I guess) but the way some of these people take it so seriously is so amazing to me. I feel like I'm back in Catholic school and the nuns are talking about "lust" being the deadliest of the seven deadly sins. What year are we in?? Didn't know everyone was so uptight. It's really mind-boggling.

According to future info, Daniel is not going to be able to stop fantasizing about Chloe. Who knows, maybe we'll even see him ****-it this time , at least it will give the anti's real ammo.

I have an open-mind and i'm also not biased. I did rewatch that scene after I read that thread too and I seriously didn't see what they're saying and still don't. Like someone else said, that thought never crossed my mind, but I don't have a perverted mind so that's probably why=P
People just hate this fictional character too much and so they create stupid, perverted, disgusting anti-threads where they over-analyze and over-exaggerate stuff.
I highly doubt that sort of thread would even exist if it were any other male character other than Daniel.

I don't see what the big deal about him being turned on by Chloe is? If the directors did indeed mean for that to be the implication in that scene. It's no secret that Chloe and Daniel were quite passionate lovers and probably had an amazing brief "sex life" together.

I agree with you totally! Anyway the haters are going to say what they want to! If Daniel was an angel sent in Chloes dream, they still would want to rip him apart! I am glad that so many people are loving this couple! We just need to continue to support Danloe!

I mean why would we expect anything different from the haters! They bashed him in the EXAM SCENE. They called him all kinds of names. So what ever they say really doesn't mean a thing. Danloe is gaining fans everday! People are taking notice and starting to love this couple! So let them hate on!

I didn't see any problem w/ it. It's mostly the haters, who seemingly can't find any other reason to hate Danloe, so they conjure up these ridiculous arguments..

I was soooo happy to see Daniel in his bed tossing and turning.....longing for his love, Chloe. THAT is how it played to me. Besides...do grown men still have wet dreams???
