The Pollards are a close-knit Southern family. Ron and Amie met in high school. Through many years of hard work and sacrifice, they have built their dream home near the beach. Ron is a homebuilder who loves fishing and hunting. Amie, a gregarious radio host, wears the pants in the family. They have two kids, Aaron and Anslie. Aaron plays varsity football and baseball and is on the gymnastics team "to meet girls." Anslie is the apple of her mother's eye and has several beauty pageant crowns in her collection. As a family, the Pollards love to hunt, watch NASCAR and watch college football.

I'm so glad you're back on the radio. I love KC, but the show just wasn't the same without you. I'm excited about the new show. You're such a delight on the radio, sharing stories from your experiences. Thank you to you and your family for sharing your lives with the rest of us through this show. I never watch shows like this, but I'll be glued to the tv every Tuesday cheering you on! I'm even changing my sleep schedule for you (I work nights and I'm usually asleep at that time of the evening.) *smiles* Good luck, and I can't wait to hear you on the radio again in the morning. By the way, I'm proud of you for keeping everything such a secret for so long, lol. I know it's hard for you.

They are a great family and we (all the fans) are soooo proud to have them representing the south. Just don't take them away, we can't do wothout them here. If they didn't win..............they did in our hearts and we appreciate what they did. That takes grit, guts and glory, just exactly what the Pollards have. Amie, we love you, missed you on the radio but KC did an excellent job. We love you all.

I don't know anything about the other family members but I am going to hope this family loses because of Amie. I travel frequently to Enterprise, AL where I found a country music station to listen to. On the day I was listening Amie was telling a story she thought was hilarious about deer hunting. She explained in great detail how she shot a deer but couldn't find it but it was leaving "Buckets of blood" behind. You would have thought she was watching something funny listening to her laugh like a hyena about killing this animal. I quit listening then as long as Amie was on the radio. On my last trip to Enterprise for work I had on the station in the afternoon and there was a promo from the morning show and once again Amie was laughing about killing animals, a joke in poor taste that was offensive about cats and a nearby Chinese restaurant. I have permanently switched to another country music station in the area so I don't have to hear Amie ever again.

Awwww Miss Reb now....I just happen to be listening to both programs and I remember the deer story because I have shot a deer or two myself. Miss Pollard was actually upset because the deer was leaving a trail of blood because he was shot ( that is what you do to deer isn't it) and although she could track him, she never found him. Laughing like a hyena? No.....mad as a wet setting hen? Yes! And, I never recall her talking about killing a cat, just that the studio was next to a Chinese restaurant. You have heard about Chinese restaurants and cats hadn't ya? You have a great day ma'am.

Amie you were wonderful on the show, you came through with true southern charm and hospitality, that's what we alabamians are all about whether you shout out a "War Eagle or Roll Tide" we still come through with making people feel welcome, comfortable and right at home. Hi Pollards just started watching last night! I grew up in Dothan and my youth pastor lived in Wicksburg! I was so excited to see a family from South Alabama! If only you were Auburn fans it would be perfect!!! War Eagle! (you know we can't help but bring it up!)
I am still cheering for you, and absolutely loved the "Bother yous"/"Ya'll" exchange last night. Hilarious! I am looking forward to the third installment.

I'd have to say that it is very disappointing to watch your family constantly saying negative things about the Coote Family. They have won the challenges fair and square. The tape does not lie. It is nice to see that the other families didn't sink to your level. Unfortunately only one family can win a challange. Take the defeat with class. I would personally be embarassed to have behaved in that manner and now it is being watched by millions.

I can't disagree with you on some of the negative things they showed. I'm not sure who it was that got upset at the Faverly family for winning.
But I will say that Aaron and the way he was with Ricky Rico was very nice. That is how the game should be played. Aaron, if you're out there I hope you will keep in contact with that kid, he seemed to really bond with you - I thought it was great the way you were with him.

I specifically joined this messageboard to pretty much say the same thing...
AIMIE, practice what you preach girlfriend.. I was cheering for your family to win this, but your attitude sucks... You told your family to not be sore losers, but then you showed your BAD ATTITUDE, when the Ricos were sent packing...
Grow up... and be the ADULT... be a role model for your children, not a sore LOSER!!!
You're a BAMA fan, is this how you act when BAMA loses??
I'm a graduate of the University of Georgia.. and was totally embarassed by the way you acted...

For the record the tape does lie. Editing can make anything look the way an editor wants it to. I am with you Amie. If someone had cornered my kids and confronted them when I was not around, I could not have had half the class that you showed. Don't be on the defensive Amie you are great and we love your family. My eleven year old daughter said last night that she wished they would show all of it and not just what they want you to see. The Pollards are doing great. We love you guys and are supporting you all the way. Don't let people get you down just because they want to believe that the tape doesn't lie.
