I know it doesn't seem likely, but I've been thinking about this for awhile. Sydney's full name is Sydney Ann DiMera. So is that a slight nod towards Thaao and Leann, given that Ann could be short for Leann, Thaao is from Sydney, and she was named shortly before their exits?

Nope. That would be giving these writers waaaay to much credit for (1): caring...and (2): having the ability to even come up with that thought!

Interesting thread. What I honestly believe about Sydney's name is that it is a nod to Sidney Grayson, Alice Horton's father. Not to start a debate on a completely separate issue, but I think the writers were hinting at Sydney possibly being a Horton descendant (through Lucas) with that name.

I seriously doubt it..these writers had no regard for the immense talent in these two

I figured that much. I guess it was just a nice sentiment on my part.

I have to agree with Boo on this one...but it's a nice thought, NDF.
