What's happened to Chloe over the years?? Chloe used to be one of my favorite characters, she was intelligent, witty, strong, independant... She didn't use to care what anyone thought about her

The writers are turning her into a porn star, almost to the point that I don't even like Chloe no more. The character of Chloe needs to be rescued.

Like I mentioned in another post: what has happened to Chloe is not character development, but character destruction!

I've wondered about this. I missed the last blast years and when I started watching again last summer the character of Chloe was just some vapid bedhopper, it was obvious there were fans of the character, but I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. Thanks for posting the clips!

Chloe is an adult now..she's not a high-school kid any longer. The past is the past.
She's a sexually active (well, maybe NOT with her hubby ) beautiful gal who dresses the part.
I adore her..then, now, forever.

Shouldn't an adult be wiser and more mature? I watched these old videos of Chloe and I'm floored. It's not about the clothes, and it's not even about being sexually active. She used to be confident, strong, and an actual role model. She didn't grow up, she grew down. It's like she's making up for actually having a personality during the teen years. Now she's just an irritating, whiny crybaby.

You are absolutely correct. She is a woman and I am glad she does not dress like the others on days. Look at Stephanie she dresses age inappropriate, Kate she dresses like a man, even Nicole she is mostly in tents tops. I like the way she looks and acts. She is a librated woman and for most part honors her sexuality and exercises her desire.

The only thing she needs to be saved from is Lucas.

Can Chloe be saved now? How does being sexually active make her an adult she's cheating and lying to her first loves brother who is now her husband. There is noting adult about this character.She's not witty smart or goal oriented. She's a shallow shell of what she used to be. I found her sexual fantasy in the church to be disgusting and rude just goes to show she only cares about one thing now and that is sex.

I have to admit, I've been asking myself the same question. But I think my questions started with that silly storyline that had her allowing Brady to think she was dead because a scar on her face. This was Nancy's daughter after all, the plus sized diva with hunky husband wrapped around her finger for life. The younger version of Chloe truly understood how shallow appearances could be. It's really sad what's become of what was once a promising complex character.

You're right. The old Chloe was a better character. Right now, they just have her looking like a deer caught in headlights. I don't recall her previous character, but Nadia never expresses anything in her eyes. It's almost like they are too heavy with makeup to actually move or show her movement.

She's so beautiful and talented, but the character of Chloe is just portraying "Gawd, I can't believe I have to be here again."

This all started about a year ago when she hooked up with Philip's brother in an elevator. Nothing will ever top that in my mind. If you want to say she has been on a downward spiral ever since, then fine. And as far as her not being goal orientated, well, Mr Horton himself doesn't want her to be..he was not supportive of her Vancouver gig..he just wants a pretty trophy wife, so that's what she is. ITA, she can be so much more, but she's got to ditch Lucas first and foremost. She should have never married him to begin with if she was so attracted to another man.

Seriously she can be with any man she wants to but at the end of the day the writers will write her the exact same way a bored sex object. Maybe it was due to the budget cuts but Lucas and Chloe discussed the singing job and they both agreed on it yet nothing ever came to it.The old Chloe wouldn't of gave a flying fig what any man thought if she wanted something bad enough she'd go for it. Now she's all gun ho about this hosting job. These writers have no clue on how to write Chloe or what to do with her. Why is it two men are allowed to dictate her future? She should be strong enough to lead her own life.

In order to keep Chloe with Lucas her character had to be revised. Lucas is the worst match for Chloe, he is such a Joe sixpack, don't get me wrong he is a cut JSP but no match for Chloe's worldly sophisticated character. Chloe must have blamed herself for Brady drugging and downward and destructive life. She came to town and wanted to put all that behind, hooked up with an old flame who didn't want to commit. Chloe needed closure with Brady first but instead she got elevator sex with LameA@@ Lucas. The only time I have liked Chloe is when she is with Daniel. She is herself, she is strong, she fights, she banters she is tender and loving. As for her fantasy in the church, well you don't have to go to a church to be with God. You mean to tell me if she had a fantasy in the privacy of her bedroom, then God would not be offended or wouldn't know? Please, people. If you are looking for a reason to blame don't look to Chloe's affair, her love and lust for Daniel, look at the man she has married. Granted she had good intention, but sometimes the best of intentions will lead you to destructive path. Chloe wants to do the right thing by Lucas, having the best of intentions in heart and mind, but what she is not realizing is that in order to give Lucas a life worth living, she has to give up her own life and her own happiness. She has to give up herself. Its a sacrifice and she is suffering.

you're right it started there actually. she didn't want to tell brady she's alive over something as superficial as a scar. the writers really don't know how to write chloe. she has become more and more shallow since then.



i agree. i am a phloe fan, but aside from that. regardless of chloe ever beomes together with philip again or not she needs to change.

....and lucas is a great guy. maybe he and chloe are not the perfect match, but either way there is no way anyone can ever justify chloe's cheating on lucas. he has done NOTHING to her to deserve it!!

I did read that interview and Nadia said Chloe was crazy because of the 'promise to god' stuff. Which I agree with.
People make mistakes. Nobody is perfect, even the people that grew up with integrity and values. Chloe is flawed...Big effin deal!

As far as Chloe cheating on Lucas. Whatever!...... everyone cheats on Lucas, lol It's consistent with his character. Chloe fell in love with someone else.....burn her at the stake=P That's not the worst thing in the world.

then we both want her to be happy. i'm sure her and lucas' relationship will end soon, and she'll probably hook up with daniel. when she finds out daniel can't make her happy, and that that realtionship was just based on sex then hopefully she'll take a break from men, focus on herself and we'll see some of the characteristic of chloe that we haven't seen for so long back.

And by the way I love Nadia Bjorlin, and I love Chloe, however, I think the writers are forgetting who Chloe is. Or maybe not all of them know show's history.
Chloe is NOT being written in a good way right now.
Before I considered her a role model.
I'm not saying she shouldn't wear make up and that he should hide herself under the black robe and glasses. But her clothes nowadays do reflect how she has been written. Maybe they're going after male fan-group, then fine let her look like she does now.
But there is nothing, and I mean NOTHING that I recognize from her personality few years ago where she dared to be different and didn't let any men take over her life like that and play mindgames with her.
Chloe is a smart character.
The real Chloe would have been much more focused on her career, herself and not som triangle drama. Neither would she sleep with her first love's brother in an elevator, then marry him, then cheat on him with some horney doctor that has had sex with most of his patients.

Well said.I still like Chloe,but the writing for her hasn't been good since she returned.The writers have done alot of damage to the character and the worst part is that I don't think they even care.I wish they would cut back on the amount of make-up she wears.NB doesn't need it.She looks so much better in real-life when she does her own make up.She's really natural looking.That's what I would like to see on the show too.I wish they would stop having her show so much cleavage all the time.I feel as though she's being exploited and I would not blame NB if she decided to leave when her contract expires later this year.As a woman,I am disgusted that TPTB would use a woman in this way just because she is beautiful.

I've been watching since 2003 and I've always hated her. She has always been a flat character with no personality. I think Nadia is pretty, but from what I've seen with Chloe not a good actress. I can't stand it when Chloe opens her mouth. She is just so monotoned. She never sounds angry, sad, frustrated, happy... it's all at the same pitch with no emotion.

With Chloe in the arms of Philip or Brady,the writers never once needed another character from the show to say how they were oozing with chemistry,but I guess Higley and Corday are showing their desperation since they felt that Chris should say such a thing about Danloe and we all know this is because most fans gag whenever they appear onscreen together.
