ADVENTURE AND COMPETITION PREVAIL AS SEVEN FAMILIES BEGIN THEIR
JOURNEY ACROSS AMERICA ON ROUTE 66, BEGINNING AT CHICAGO'S LEGENDARY
WRIGLEY FIELD, IN PREMIERE OF NEW NBC REALITY SERIES 'GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP' – Adventure prevails when seven unique and eccentric families travel along Route 66 in RVs, through cities large and small, while competing in a medley of comical, clever challenges that will ultimately lead one family to victory in the debut of NBC's new reality series "Great American Road Trip." The series begins at Wrigley field and iconic American backdrops – from the Grand Canyon to the Hoover Dam – follow. Family fun is the centerpiece, but competition is the name of the game. One family will be eliminated each week based on their performance and, in the end, the family that rises to the challenges will return home with $100,000. Comedian Reno Collier hosts this eight episode summer series.

The pot would have to be larger than 100 grand for me to put my family out there to be ridiculed

I think it would be wonderful if my family could go on a trip like that. I think it would bring our family so much closer. We really havent went on any trips together. Wait i take that back we never have. I think that it would be the best time of my whole family's life. I know for sure we are going to try to sign up for the next one. I wish we could of got to go on the first one. That would of been a dream come true!!!

I LOVED THE SHOW!! The Rico's were funny... I loved the little boy speaking Spanish!! SOOOOOOOOO FUNNY!!

I would so much prefer they put back one of the good shows like Crusoe or Howie do it.

they put good shows on. take them away then put mediocre shows like this, or crap shows on.


if NBC cancles Merlin, i would honestly stop watching NBC all together.

although... i wouldnt mind having a giant ball i can get into and roll arround in the streets.

This is only an 8 week summer filler, it is not meant as a replacement series.

I don't think the pavement of Route 66 will hold up once the DiSalvatores' go along it
How brave is the mother for parking right next to the family she insulted- Go NY!!

When they are ready to count the votes there are grain bins in background. Are there bins in downtown Springfield?

We had the best time of our lives great experience for my children we went places we would have ever dream of going. Pass the word around to watch the show. Try out next year you wont be sorry.
