Ok we've seen many clips of Peter using many abilitys I assume his evolves some how. Maybe he can at least use the ones he absorbs but can't use more than one yet. Would you like that idea?

Well, I guess it all depends on what he actually "took" from Sylar at the end of last season. Did he take some of Sylar's abilities, just one (morphing), or Sylar's empathic ability? IMO, if he took abilities from Sylar then Peter's ability has "evolved" so he can have multiples at once. If he took just one ability then he's the same and has to borrow one power at a time. If he took Sylar's empathic ability then he can hold as many as he wants. Who knows. We'll find out, I guess.

I know I've said this on several replies but I would love for Peter to get his Power back. People thought he was to powerful but if you have a powerful Villain like Sylar then you need a powerful hero like Peter to counter that. I would like to see Sylar actually grouping with some villain and him and Peter duking it out while you have mini battles with the other heroes.

Ya! I want all of Peter's power back too. In the future "Five Years Gone" Future Hiro said "Only one man was stronge enough to over power the Haittian and Sylar. Peter Petrelli." I believe Peter has all his abilities but holding back to keep others from knowing.

They must notice the fan reaction to what they have done to Peter, i personally believe his main ability will return over time, i think Peter will be able to hold onto more at first, then he'll be able to use more at the same time, but then i believe he will be able to get an ability without touch again, they have to restore him to his former glory, its just tiresome with having an Ultra God Like Villain then toning the 1 Equal he had down.

I think it has something to do with the compass that he is given by Samuel.

I agree with Dave, I believe Peter still has his original abilities, they have somehow just have been suppressed. Maybe he needs an incident to trigger them again, that is kinda how it worked in season 1 anyway.

I actually think that tomorrow's episode we will get what we are looking for in the way of that Healer, sure he is being brought in to fix Hiro, but what if Peter's abilities that was stolen from Arthur were just in fact damaged per se? Perhaps the healer's ability will somehow reconfigure Peter's abilities back to the old way.........just my thought

Yes or he can go back in time to get his mimicry.
Don't get your hopes up Peter will NOT regain his old power.

With this show, the one thing I learned is not to get your hopes up. Instead to expect the proverbial curveball.

Good, I'm usually optimistic.
But when it comes to certain things about Heroes, I'm pessimistic 100%. Peter will probably never regain his powers, due to the writers being too lazy to write him villians who can challenge him.
A super powered paramedic/Vigilante would be awesome.

here is what I think will happen.
1. Peter will get in contact with Matt Jr. and that will jumpstart his abilities somehow. Like you guys said his ability might be suppressed, so that could help.
2. Peter will absorb hiro's ability AGAIN and go back in time and stop himself from hugging his father.
3. Hiro will go back in time after he's healed and stop Peter from hugging his dad.

Well as long as they keep re-booting Sylar every season and Krings in charge, I just don't see them allowing peter to have more than 1.

4. Ando super-charges his absorption ability and uses that time to absorb as many abilities as he can - but the effects wear off and if he absorbs another ability afterwards, he will lose everything.
5. His ability will evolve by some intense emotional stimulus and allow him to retain abilities.
6. He will absorb the empathy ability from Sylar and he is back to being old Peter.
i dont think time traveling will have anything to do with it - i think that his ability will evolve or something will happen that will change him and he'll be able to retain his abilities. i dont think he should get his old ability back because he couldnt control it.

How about Peter grabs Hiro's power, goes back in time to just when the writers start writing S3 and goes medevil on the whole room.
Then with new writers, maybe they can come up with a better storyline, like this season!

I think Peter REALLY needs to be able to use more than one power at a time.
I think he has his father's ability. But to retain the abilities his father actually stole them from the origional owner and left them with nothing. I think that may be where Peter is headed. He can borrow them but not keep them without leaving the person stripped of their powers.
I keep wondering why he doesn't look back to what the guy who could go invisible told him. "Your body remembers the powers" Peter isn't applying that the his current situation.
Also, What ever happened to the girl he left in the future????????? He fixed the future and never went back for her. Is she stuck in the horrible future he left her in? or did everything change around her???
They've also forgotten about little Molly. No one is hunting them anymore and still Matt Parkman hasn't brought her home.
