Why can't there be a general forum, for candid discussions? How can people show people about their blog, without looking like a spammer?

Are all links assumed as spam? I ould think unless someone floods the post with like 300 of the same link, only then would I think links should be restricted or banned..

This forum is designed to have discussions here, not advertise links to discussions at other websites. The official location where your website link can be posted without violating the TOS or any subforum specific rules is in your Profile.

To add your website link to your Profile, click your username next to "Logged in as: " in the upper-left corner of this webpage and go to the Settings tab and enter your URL in the "Your Website" field. Click Save Settings for it to take effect.
