Okay, at first I was excited. In the 8/11/09 issue of SOD on the "Gossip" pages, they actually talked about DANDY!!!! And it's a really good article. You'll see why I'm a little peeved, though...

A FINE BROMANCE

Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Shawn Christian (Daniel) have become the target of some playful joking on the DAYS OF OUR LIVES set. "We had recent scenes where Daniel and Brady had another one of their infamous jogs in the park," says Martsolf. "These are some of the funniest scenes I've ever taped in my life, actually. The whole cast is making fun of us that we're the next big supercouple. They call them 'Dandy.' And you now who the president of the 'Dandy' fan club is? Molly Burnett (Melanie). She declares herself as such. She's the one who comes up to me running, saying, 'Oh, my God. Have you read the next script? "Dandy" has a scene.' So of course, Shawn and I are like, 'Okay, Molly, you're really funny.' As long as it entertains her.[laughs]."

Not one word about where Dandy started. Not one word about mouse, who coined the name when we were all trying to decide the best name for them. Obviously, someone from the show (Molly?) saw our posts and went back to Days and told everyone about it. Unfortunately, SOD didn't do enough investigation to find out where and how it all started.

But I love it that Molly is the one who's really running with this!!!! See? There's a reason we finally decided we like her!

I actually saw a fan thingy where Eric mentioned Dandy. He said that Nadia told him. Mcoz had the link. She is the one who showed it to me. And at the end he said, "Go Dandy." LOL Mcoz, do you still have that clip?

You know what I was thinking, What if Molly or Alison or anyone from the cast was posting in the boards? Not like writing spoilers or anything but just joining in on our hot topics and stuff. I mean for all we know Nadia could be b!tching right along with us about her SL.

I seriously think at least one of them would be doing it. We already know that AS reads the boards. I can seriously imagine a group of the actors sitting around reading the posts off one of their blackberrys and them laughing about what someone said and how to reply.

IDK maybe it's just cause I'm tired but can't sleep. When I'm tired I start thinking about conspiracies (sp?)

I remember reading or watching, whichever it was, the thing that mcoz posted about Eric acknowledging it. It makes me wonder though, if they know about Dandy, what ELSE do they know about?

Funny thing is, we make fun of Molly's character quite a bit so for her to be the "president" of our "Dandy fanclub" is like a sign of approval for us to rag her some more.


I've thought about this before. Wouldn't that just be hilarious!?

I wonder what else they know too.

LOL i saw the atricle...and yes everyone knows the dandy train started here at MB's/....we all recall the banners and bromance threads.
But at least Eric has sense of humor about it, he's joked few times about dandy. I don't recall Sc joking or laughing about it...maybe he doesn't find it as funny:p

Love that Molly and the gang there tease them about it.
But with respect to MB it was actually Nadia who first alerted Eric about Dandy many months ago.
Months ago at a charity event i saw footage of....eric was saying that Nadia sent him a text to tell him about it, that all over the forums people were talking about dandy etc.
Eric jokingly raised his fist and said "go Dandy!"

Nadia also jokingly mentioned them again to Michael Fairman in an interview couple months back....when talking about how anyone SC shares scenes with is suddenly paired up with him:p (cos Dan is a perv. Nadia didn't say that bit...i did:p lol)

I think sort of the same thing..they do the funnies or captions as their
characters..take turns reading them

I like our group where everyone's friendly and we all know each other too, but I'd like to know if other people actually find us funny or if we're just all warped.

I'm suprised she agreed to meet all of us with her star status and all.

I completly agree with mcoz. I'm glad our jokes and antics are getting out there but I think they should give us the credit we deserve. We might need to start patenting our nicknames.
