I know a ton of new characters are coming back to the screen, some for a long period of time, some for short, but it gives me hope. I started watching in 2003 and the only character that I've seen is Chloe's dad. The rest are all new for me. But that means that TPTB are remembering Days history and trying to bring back (or keep) old time viewers by bringing back history. And who is the only couple that has history in the love square we battle??? LUMI! 

Out of these characters coming back, only Sami and Lucas will know them, or at least probably be related to them. EJ and Rafe have no connections or history to them. If the ratings improve greatly, the focus might go towards the old new comers and that will leave Rafe and EJ and other newbies with less screentime, bring LUMI closer. 



Let's just hope this is good news for us!

I think you are totally on the money girl..My Lumi faith has been going strong this past week with the Chloe debacle finally coming around. I know the story won't completely end soon because I hear Chloe's memory might not be all there when she comes too but at least now our boy Lucas is back and he knows all and knows that he knew before the explosion and people kept it from him. I also can't deny that I have been doing a happy dance since the confirmation Monday about Vivian coming back and then on Wednesday with Lawrence coming back...and I can only hope that the return of the Alemains will give the other villain family a much needed on screen rest....anyway...I always found the Alemains much more interesting and fun to watch than the Dimera's...mainly because of Vivian. I also think the chances for Lumi are always good...they are not hating each...they're in a much better place than they've been in years and the only thing holding it back now is a person called Rafe....and as for Chloe I am not even counting her in the mix anymore..

I am looking forward to see if in the fall the writers start writing for Lumi again.

There is only one thing that scares me and that is if Chloe wakes up with amnesia and doesn't remember anything. So Lucas stays with her because they are married. Then we would have to wait some time before he realizes he really doesn't love her, but loves Sami. I could just see the writers do this because they can't think of anything better to do and our lumi reunion would take twice as long. Ug, I'm getting tired of waiting.

I hope this happens, it just might bring Lumi closer.
