I've been an EJami fan since the beginning and still consider myself a fan. Am I blind to the fact that the writers keep Sami from showing any feeling toward EJ now? No. In May 2008, she showed a lot of feeling toward the man and then abruptly changed, which made me angry and quite frankly made no sense at all. My feeling in my gut is that the headwriter currently does not want to write for them as a couple and has been fighting it tooth and nail.

Here's the thing though: I cannot get out of my head the chemistry I see between the actors who play EJ and Sami. And I wonder, why on earth would a show make a decision to destroy something that comes along once in a blue moon on a soap? When EJ and Sami danced together on the pier in the Summer of 2006, that was pure magic. That was something I hadn't seen on a soap since the 1980's and it was exciting to watch and it brought me back to soap operas when I had given them up for dead. But EJ and Sami on that pier took me back to a time when soaps specialized in that kind of magic. Why the show decided to take the path it did will forever be a mystery to me. Even in the scenes where EJ and Sami were playing a cat and mouse game, there was a spark that made me watch and want more.

I guess in a way, I am realistic. I know that chances for EJ and Sami are slim to none because TPTB refuse to a story for them. But it's hard to shake the feeling I had, I still have when the actors are given good scenes together. It's rare. It's splendid. But c'est la vie, you know if the show doesn't want to follow through there's nothing I can do about it.

And that is precisely why I've given up watching Days once again and have no plans ever to watch again.

I agree with you Rachel. I was a sporatic viewer, so sick and tired of the Austin/Carrie/Sami angst I could easily miss several shows without worry. DOOL was predictive and bordered on boring. Then EJ drove up to Max's garage, got out of his car, and hugged Stephanie. My heart jumped into my throat and I prayed the writers would hang onto him and make him a major player in DOOL.

I didn't expect the EJ/Sami relationship to hit me so hard. I've always loved the way he accepts her for herself and doesn't try to change her. I loved the way he and Sami became such good friends before they "fooled" around. His superior acting ability and training set him apart from the rest of most of DOOL's actors though, and I was afraid he would be overshadowed by their stupidity. It turns out he has been overshadowed by the writers' stupidity.

Anyone who doesn't see the electric romantic chemistry between EJ and Sami is not looking. These two people are the hope of this show. The Ejami fanbase is the largest of all the fanbases combined. There are so many possibilities of entertaining and exciting storylines with EJ and Sami. I just don't have much faith in the writers for DOOL and I think Corday is anxious to sell this show's time slot off so he can go play golf.

If things don't change soon, I think he will get his wish and he can play golf while the faithful fans suffer. Awful, simply awful.

I think a lot of people clicked it, so they do not have a choice to return ejami and it would be nice if Sammy begins to show love to ej.

Ej and Sami are just meant to be. I keep watching because i keep thinking just maybe they will bring them together, but I do admit it looks like it's not happening any time soon. The thing is Ejami are very intermingled. They have that backstory (Santo & Colleen), and you know Ej's history is really all about Sami. Lucas there was always Carrie, Rafe's history is Emily, but Ej starts and stops at Sami. They started writing in Nicole but quickly got rid of any long lasting ties (the miscarriage) so that he can one day go back to Sami . He loves Sami, and like he once said he probably always will. He will try and move on but with Ej you know who his true love is. As for Sami I'm not sure what they are doing with this character, but one things for sure she always denied her feeling for Ej and she could be just doing it now too. Could be why she is so desperate to keep this blah relationship with Rafe going, so she doesn't have to think about Ej. Maybe in the fall the writers will not only reveal the baby switch but whats in Sami's heart as well. We can hope!

I like to think that if cordey want days of our lives will continue, he knows he needs to bring baec ejami another 2010 we can tell goodbay to days of our lives and if if to be honest if ejami are not together i dont care if the series cenceld . I never seen Soap Operas because of a pair, but impossible to explain what they are doing me that they were on the screen.

Great post!!! I certainly agree with your sentiments. It is ashame that the writers are primarily focusing on two nonchalant pairings better known as "SAFE" & "EJOLE". My only conclusion is that the writers are too damn afraid to pair Sami with EJ. Frankly, It is heartbreaking to watch because EJ and Sami had every opportunity to get together. Yet, the writers continued and continued to pull them farther apart and pair them with other less than desirable love interests. I simply do not understand why the writers would stick a fork into EJ and Sami's storyline in order to promote "SAFE" & "EJOLE" who clearly doesn't have the same type of raw chemistry as compared to EJ and Sami. Nevertheless, I will never support EJ and Sami with other pairings. I want EJAMI. Plain and simple. They have the best chemistry on this show. If the writers can't see this revelation. I cannot support their visions or ideals. This show is already a bore. Apparently, other fanbases are also taking notice. Go Figure!!!

EJOLE and SAFE have been onscreen and promoted for months and look at the ratings. (I know that's probably not the only reason, the writing sucks for the most part). I really hope TPTB realize that since the show is on the verge of cancellation, EJAMI needs to happen, and hopefully the writing will improve along the way and their will be some new head writers. Dena Higley is known for ruining characters and couples - she pretty near ruined OLTL, even the some of the actors from that soap have called her on it. To her, cheap sex, recycled s/ls and triangles is soap romance. I think that is the first clue that she is not fit to be the headwriter. Her fixation with the character of Nicole (hence why she is on practically everyday) has turned off the GA, and I have to say I'm looking forward to when AZ goes on maternity leave. She must be exhausted, and her character is on way too much. Nicole is not the herione of the show, as much as Dena would like her to be. This may be an EJAMI story in the long run but it has been dragged out far too long and the introduction of Rafe has done nothing for the show or for the characters for that matter. He's simply too dull and has no connections to be interesting or to be an effective interloper (and I think that is what he is). Not to mention that EJ and Sami are almost unrecognizable now as the characters and couple that I fell in love with. I can see that EJ is slowly coming around but they have Sami pining after Rafe. Hopefully she'll snap out of it soon and realize where her heart really lies - with EJ. And of course, the baby switch needs to come out, Nicole needs to be exposed and punished, and Rafe can just jump off a cliff. EJAMI needs to be together and with their kids.

I don't understand either it's Obvious that they are Magical the writer's need to stop Dragging their Feet and Bring them back together already. Maybe the writer's who brought Ejami together are off somewhere writing a Beautiful Love story for them as we speak, and they want to make sure it's just right before they bring it to their Devoted Fans.... No doubt most of us want the ejami. alison may have great chemistry with all the players, but the camera shows something is ej incredible other we were not fighting like this.

Yes, I totally agree that Alison may have great chemistry with all the players. However, I truly believe that her character {Sami} has the best chemistry with EJ as compared to her other love interests including Rafe. I am beginning to loose interest in Sami's character period. She has totally lost her sexual appeal with Rafe. I know that the powers to be are trying really hard to promote Rafe and Sami as the next big thing. Nevertheless, Sami's scenes with EJ were far more hotter as compared to her scenes with Rafe. Let's just face it. EJ and Sami simply oozed sexual tension. It didn't matter whether they were fighting, flirting, kissing, or glaring at one another. They just had that sexual appeal regardless. I think the writers are making the wrong choice to convert Sami into a Marlena wannabe. I agree that some characters on the show should have happiness. In Sami's case. IMO, she is much more interesting as the fiesty and strong will type of character. Her scenes with EJ were quite compelling. As for EJ. I am very disappointed in the writers for pairing EJ with Nicole. The idea of EJ confessing his love to that wretched woman is a joke. Their storyline is simply unbelievable. EJ has been pining for Sami from the moment he set foot into Salem. The concept that he would take a backseat for Sami in order to convince himself that Nicole is the right person is completely absurd. When will the writers realize that many fans do not give a hoot about EJOLE? IMO, it seems like the lumis have flocked over to the SAFE camp. You wonder why this show is a complete bore. EJ and Sami are rarely seen together. I totally missed the old days of EJ and Sami. As the matter of fact. Despite their great chemistry. The writers have managed to change EJ and Sami's characters all together. They are both unrecognizable. Go Figure!!!

I have to agree with all of these posts! I have been watching Days since I was a little girl & when I saw the chemistry between EJ and Sami, I was blown away! They have this magic between them, I just don't understand why the writers don't see this? I don't mind Rafe, but he is no EJ. And as for Nicole, she is just well, Nicole...... I am waiting for the day that these 2 get their day, I just hope it's before Days gets canned :-(
