2. How to Vote:
2.1. Toll-free. To cast a vote using the toll-free phone numbers, at the end of the show simply dial the toll-free numbers displayed on screen during the show relating to your contestant of choice (For example, call 1-866-60-AGT-01 / 1-866-602-4801 for Contestant 1). If you are calling during your valid vote window you will hear a message thanking you for your vote. There is no cost for voting via the toll-free number if you are calling from a landline. If you are calling from a cell phone, airtime and applicable roaming charges will apply. You may only vote up to 10 times per originating telephone number. Any calls made after your 10th call will NOT be counted, regardless of the fact that the audio message will still thank you for your vote. Outside of active voting windows, you will hear a busy signal or local carrier error message, and your call will not count as a vote. A vote window is determined by the time zone (as defined above) applicable to your phone area code. Calls from payphones will be blocked, so to vote, use a standard landline or cell phone instead.

Power dialing occurs when individuals unfairly influence the outcome of the voting system by generating significant blocks of votes using technical enhancements. Producer will have in place monitoring procedures designed to prevent this type of occurrence on America's Got Talent. If Producer believes that power-dialing or block voting attempts were made, it reserves the right to remove these votes from the final tally. Note that these monitoring procedures apply to online voting, AT&T SMS as well as toll-free.

2.2. AT&T SMS/Text Messaging. In order to text vote, you must:

Provide your own wireless device capable of 2-way messaging and
Be an AT&T wireless service subscriber with text messaging service.

To vote via text, send the keyword VOTE to the 4 digit short code relating to your contestant of choice, as shown on the weekly performance episode of "America's Got Talent" each week. For example, send the keyword VOTE to 4801 for contestant 1 or send the keyword VOTE to 4802 for contestant 2. You will receive a confirmation text message for each valid vote. Only votes received in a valid vote window (a vote window is determined by the time zone as defined above) applicable to your cellular phone area code will be counted. If you send a text message vote outside of the valid vote window, you'll get a text message back letting you know that voting is closed. Standard text message rates apply. You may vote up to ten (10) times per originating phone number via SMS text messaging. Any vote attempts above 10 will not be counted as valid.

2.3. Online voting. If you are 13 years of age or older, you may also vote online up to 10 times per email address. Log on to NBC.com, follow the links to vote, and enter the registration details. To register, you will need to provide your date of birth, e-mail address, zip code, gender, confirm you are 13 years of age or older, and confirm your acceptance of the terms and conditions. After you have registered, enter your vote choice where prompted. You may vote up to 10 times per email address during the active online vote window. Any vote attempts above 10 per e-mail address will not be counted as valid.

You will have the opportunity to receive promotional materials from NBC.com if you are 13 years of age or older by clicking the opt in box. Information collected from entrants is subject to the NBC Universal Privacy Policy (www.nbc.com).

For full information on how to vote using each voting method, please refer to the FAQs section on NBC.com.

3. Cost of Voting:
3.1. Toll-free voting. Voting using the toll-free numbers is free from landline telephones. If you are calling from a cell phone, airtime and applicable roaming charges will apply. If you attempt to vote more than 10 times from the same phone number, you will continue to hear the "Thanks for voting" message, although your votes above 10 will not count. Moreover, if you call from a cell phone, you will continue to be charged normal airtime and any applicable roaming charges.

3.2. SMS/text message voting. Voting via text message is available only to AT&T subscribers. Standard text messaging rates may apply. If you have a text messaging plan the text messages you send will count toward your text messaging plan. If you exceed your text message plan, then standard text message rates will apply to any text messages sent outside of the allotted text messages that are covered under your plan. If you have an unlimited text messaging plan, then you will not incur any additional charges when texting to vote. Please consult your AT&T wireless contract or service guide regarding how much you will be charged for your standard rate text messages.

3.3. Internet voting. Internet voting costs are subject to standard access charges.

So far the first three act were not too bad. We shall see how Mattioli does on his invite back.
Serika
3 great acts already
it's gonna be hard to choose tonight
AzizalSaqr
I agree, the first three were good, the Magician bombed though.
rlynn
So far so good. Loved FootworkKINGz!

I liked Jay's act. Maybe I'm just easy to entertain, but I like him.
XGW
how did the magician bomb?
lil_julbug
I agree he wasn't as flashy tonight as he was in the audition but he sure is adorable! I think they are all good so far. Something sure needs to be done about the overload of good acts one week and the snoozer the next week.
tekken_21
I will have to say Mattioli's act was the worst of the night to this point. It was kinda disappointing because I was hoping he would do well.

I agree...
Stageman96
I'm away from the TV. Can someone keep updating on all the performances including judges comments?
XGW
what did bri sing?
tekken_21
I didnt think that Mattioli's act deserved 2 X'es but for some reason I hope he makes it through because I do like him. But, I agree with the person who stated that they need to do a better job with how they line the acts up. One week is star studded and the next is not very good. So far the acts tonight have been worthy and we still havent seen the one people probably want to see and that is Lawrence Beaman. So far it will be tough to choose 5.

what did bri sing?

I think she wrote it...
AzizalSaqr
Two X's from the judges and being compared to boardwalk magicians is a bomb for me, plus most of those tricks were what 8 year olds get in beginner magic trick boxes.
lil_julbug
Bri sang Poker Face by Lady Gaga but she tweaked it her own style...a little bluesy and then cutting loose with the attitude. She owned it! I don't know that I really liked it so much but she gave everything she had.

Bri Sang her own version of Poker Face by Lady GaGa.

In My Opinion she would have done better off without the odd boys in masks dancing.
Koho
She just took the same idea from Lady Gaga. Only thing she did different was using different verses of the song ... make it more family friendly and she didn't have the same amount of time.

I liked the U4ia dancers and how they had a little story to their dancing...

The David fan is strange...
lil_julbug
Too bad they buzzed him. They should have let him finish. I was laughing..oh well! He's like Stephen Lynch. If American can vote them back anyway what's the point of the buzzer??? A lot of the comments the judges make, good or bad, influences voters, at least that's my opinion.
beanygirl
I really liked Dave Johnson's audition better then this time.
lil_julbug
I love this contortionist dancer guy! he amazes me! we will see what he brings tonight
lil_julbug
WOOOWWWWW!!! lol I LOVE this guy!! His character was cute and WHAT WAS THAT MOVE?? This guy just jumped up...did the splits in the air and came down with his feet tangled behind his head! Are you kidding me?? So good!
lil_julbug
I don't mean to step on any toes by talking about the little kids but.... X X X (just my opinion)
Athene_Solon
So far of the acts I'm probably going to vote for Mattioli (I regularly split how I vote between my faves). I know a lot of Mattioli's acts today weren't groundbreaking but he did his acts in such a way that I wasn't exactly put off by it. Even the big acts in Vegas have slow moments where they still do the ones which they grew up doing (David Copperfield's act is one where I remember at least a handful of the small card and scarf tricks). I DO think that if he does even ONE more of those kinds of pieces he's not going to make it through in future rounds.
kryptopyro13
Ummm... was it just me or did the strange music drown out the piano?
beanygirl
For Some Reason I Felt This Jefferey Guy Playing The Piano Was To....."Been There, Seen That"

It WASN't just you.

Now they are saying a cable got kicked and there was an audio problem.

tekken_21
Uhhh ohhhh....a possible technical problem happened in the piano guys act and you couldnt hear his piano playing...apparently one of the girls or someone kicked a cord and it got unplugged...its a shame cuz who knows how this could affect the voting.
ZdenoChara
wow. I feel bad for that guy. One of the girls kicked the audio cable out.

Really unlucky.

Nope, in fact Nick apologized for the sound issues. I just hope it didn't lose him my vote ( couldn't hear it very well but I was also not enthralled with him when I heard him during auditions so I may have been biased).
lil_julbug
I hope Ou doesn't get voted off for something that wasn't his fault. He is really good.

Whoa! I would hate to see someone eliminated because of a technical problem. [Is a dancer kicking something considered "technical"? :-)] And I didn't see this guy in earlier shows, so was really looking forward to him.
kryptopyro13
That's good that it wasn't just me... but also bad because it wasn't just me... :/

First those strange poker-face dancers, and now these strange "fangirl" dancers... sleep.gif They REALLY don't need those... I feel it may hurt the act than it adds... I don't remember Natasha Lee from the first season having back-up dancers... XD
tekken_21
Wow most of the acts have been pretty good so far. It blows last week out of the water. I still think week one was the best but this week has been good. Lawrence Beaman still left to come.

Mario and Jenny was pretty good, too. Much better than the audition.
lil_julbug
I wasn't that impressed for Mario & Jenny the first time but wow did they raise the bar. I just looked at my husband while they were performing and said THAT has Vegas written all over it! If they can keep up the quality like that performance... you just saw your AGT winners.
AzizalSaqr
My five to go through ...

Mario and Jenny, Lawrence Beeman, FootworKINGz, Hairo Torres, and Marcus Terrell

and yes, I'm voting Beeman before he sings again, I like him.

I have to agree but as someone who used to dance on pointe I was both happy and a little disappointed with her dance. She was not fully on top of her feet when she was up on them. She's going to sprain her feet like that. They're still getting a vote from me but we'll have to see in the future.
thisiscomputer
What a rip-off for Jeffrey!! One of those dancers tripped a wire and disconnected sound from his piano. It looked like an awesome performance (by HIM, not the dancers and effects!) but we'll never know! And wer'e told to judge based on the intro to his performance?? I think that is a load of BS, NBC- completely unfair.

Here's hoping that doesn't affect his votes-- HAH, how could it not?

Awful.
Sinew
I had this super long review set up, and it somehow "timed out" and wouldn't post.

My votes tonight go out to FootworKINGz and Lawrence Beaman.

I liked Dave...but he's a different calliber of talent. He's up there with Steven Lynch and Weird Al. If he made an album, I'd buy it. I wish him luck.

Good night.
rlynn
Lawrence----- wub.gif
tekken_21
Great perfomance tonight by Lawrence again. It will be interesting who finishes 5th and 6th because I wonder who the judges will send through.

My top 5: FootWorkKingz, Marcus Terrel, Lawrence Beaman, Mario and Jenny, and judges decision between Hario Torres and the Pixie Girls

unfortunate for Ou (but I could see him being 5th or 6th and let the judges decide)

who knows
kryptopyro13
Mario's big cube thingy Leonid the Magnificent did the first season... XD
lil_julbug
I thought the same thing about the cube. I couldn't remember Leonid's name...you don't suppose Mario is Leonid, master of disguise?? lol
B2Hart
My favorite 2 for the night has to be Lawrence and the Foot Work Kings.
agtinmo
Here are my thoughts on tonight's acts, which collectively were a heck of a lot better than last week:

FootworKingz: Great energy, great choreography, definitely a contender to keep going in the competition. Missed the last move, though

Marcus Terrell and the Serenades: What an upgrade on back-up singers. Marcus is a great singer with a huge range. Nice job and a top 6 contender.

Pixie Mystere: Beautifully choreographed number, great dancing. The Pixies are a definite contender for top 6.

Jay Mattioli: Old Fashioned but energetic. He’s probably not going to make it through.

BRI: Evidently the judges and I were watching two different acts. They loved her, I thought she was terrible. Overperformed, obnoxious off-key vocals, and stupid, unnecessary back-up dancers. I really hope she doesn’t make it through.

U4Ria Dance Crew: Solid, but not spectacular. FootworKingz were better. It’s getting crowded for those top 6 spots.

Dave Johnson: Three buzzers. Is anyone really surprised? They never should’ve put this guy through in the first place. It was really kind of unfair. He’s clearly a funny guy with a good heart, but he was never going to win this show or even come close.

Hairo Torres: Really cool routine, bizarre, but cool. Crowd went wild for him…but I’m not sure he’ll make it through. He was still good though…too bad some of these acts weren’t on last week’s awful show.

G-Force: They’re kids so I’ll try to be nice. They play really well (particularly the drummer who is brilliant) but they can’t sing all that well. Piers buzzed them and to be honest I would have too. They probably aren’t going through, but they’ll probably be on Disney Channel soon.

Jeffrey Ou: Seems like the mic on his piano went out halfway through his performance. Not his fault. A good performance for the first half…but I couldn’t hear his playing on the second half. They announced that there were audio problems. Mixed reviews….but I liked him.

Mario and Jenny: Wow. Great act. Yet another contender for top 6. This will be a very tough show to vote on.

Lawrence Beaman: A great, sultry performance. By far the best vocal performance in the quarterfinals yet and should definitely go through.

My top 6 from tonight: FootworKingz, Marcus Terrell and the Seranades, Pixie Mystere, Jeffrey Ou, Mario and Jenny and Lawrence Beaman. 5th and 6th would be Jeffrey and the Pixies. What a tough choice for the judges.
agtalentscout
It's time to evaluate the third week:

1. Footworkingz. - OK but a bad finish. If one of the dancers was hurt they should have changed the ending. The judges are sure pushing this group. They may not go through.

2. Marcus Terell & the Serenades. - He is good and took the judges advice regarding the backup singers. He will go through.

3. Pixie Mistere. - A very energetic group. Strong chance they will go through.

4. Jay Mattioli. - A big disappointment. A very standard act. He's gone.

5. Bri. - Terrible singer. Another individual the judges are pushing. I don't think she will get through.

6. U4RIA Dance Crew. - Well done. I prefer them to Footworkingz. There is a good chance they will get through.

7. Dave Johnson. - Get him back to the loan office ... fast!

8. Hairo Torres. - More odd than good. He will not go through.

9. G-Force. - Strictly a kid act. Not good singers. They will not go through.

10. Jeffery Ou. - Will the technical problem kill his chance?

11. Mario & Jenny. - Nothing special. I was very disappointed. They may still make it through, perhaps as a judge's choice.

12. Lawrence Beaman. - I didn't like it at all. Another contestant the judges are pushing. Will he make it ... I don't know.

It should be interesting to see who makes it through. The 4th and 5th spots are really up in the air.

Now we know what he needs to move on! A female partner!

I voted for those who I think are getting less votes but I want to move on... this is so hard! sad.gif
suzyqball
Marcus and the girls did amazing! My friend is one of the back-up singers and I know they have been working super hard and did a great job! I hope they move on!
kisca
A lot more good acts tonight than in previous weeks... What a pity - some of the people who'd be eliminated tomorrow would've made it had they but been on the previous week.

Really sorry for Ou...

I like Lawrence Beeman, FootWorkKingz, Hairo Torres, Pixie Mystere, Jeffrey Ou, Marcus Terrell. Oops, that makes 6... Oh well.

Dave Johnson???? Why did they put him through with so many good singers? I have a friend who routinely comes up with funnier songs - the latest on the subject of economic crisis - sings better that this guy too not that it is that much of a challenge. He would laugh if someone were to suggest he can perform in public. This is OK for light entertainment for a bunch of friends with nothing to do but not something you'd pay money to see.
