Julio is an "Alpha Dog" that always has a smile on his face. His personality is equaled by his kindness, generosity and love for his family. Julio is the son of Cuban immigrants that fled Communism in the early 1960s. The youngest of three boys, he relied on his charm, wit and good looks to stand out in a crowd. Julio grew up on Cuban food, which eventually led to his weight gain.

Julio works as a mortgage loan officer, a job that requires intelligence and a strong ability to communicate, which has become increasingly difficult due to his weight. Julio would love to become healthy, fit and energetic once again so he may lead his overweight wife and two athletic daughters down the right path. Do not be fooled by his humor, Julio is here to be Season 8's Biggest Loser!

Ah, here it is!!

I can't believe he managed to drop 19 pounds like that cause on the show it does kinda show him as not putting in the same amount of work as others. good for him that's a huge loss

I hope he can continue to post big numbers with that sluggish, lackluster effort. Dude, wake up it is now or never!

How do we know he didn't really put in the effort? All we know are the few minutes we saw on air, and Shay's remarks. It's all about editing, and 19 pounds speaks volumes.

He is sneaking in workouts like Paul. Now we got to wonder if he makes it to the point where they all get to stay home for a week if he eats everything in sight like Paul.

Saw Julio on the "Today Show" this morning...........He looks fabulous! It looks like he's lost even more weight than on his update at the end of last week's show. Not only that, he said that he had quit smoking right before he went to the ranch. I applaud him, I've done both also, but not at the same time - and BOTH are killers, never mind doing them together!!!!! Way to go, Julio!!!!!!

That was great that he was able to quit smoking too! Both are incredibly hard to do. I actually think doing it the way he did might have been the best plan. On the ranch he was eating healthy, working out all day, and there was no tobacco on the ranch.
