I enjoyed everything about the premier, from the characters, to the character's story lines. I'm in for the next episode.

Loved the premiere espisode! It has such a great mix of humor, drama, and real life!!! I can see this a long standing as ER was!

I thought I was going to miss Nurse Jackie when the season finale hit - this is longer with more of a story line. I loved it. Way to go!!

I love Nurse Jackie as well.......I just wished it was an hour long.....Mercy has filled in that seasonal gap.

I will watch this show just for the hot bartender. Super cute, great smile! He would keep me coming back to that bar. NBC needs to keep this actor on this show. I wonder what his name is??? One word... Yum!

VERY, VERY PLEASED with this show! The characters are real, and they cut straight to heart of everyday people with real problems trying to make a living. I think Veronica is intriguing, and will be the "break-out" actress of this fall season. The love triangle is quite appealing as well.

I expectantly wait for next Wednesday's new episode, and I don't really watch Television mid-week(besides Tina Fey and her brood on "30 Rock").

Great Job Nbc..I think you've definitely got a winner with Mercy.

Very, very pleased with the 1st episode. I think this show has alot of gumption, and kudos to Miss Schilling! Way to go NBC!! I think you've got a hit this time around!! Keep up the good work!

All the nursing students are watching tonight, they really love the show. I knew they would love it. I am so glad I saw the commercial for it. I had to force my nursing student daughter to put her books down for a moment and watch. She is more excited about nursing than ever now. Great Job!

I actually like the show so far but I really think that it's a bit much for 8 pm. Between the language (dick and son of a bitch) imagery and content; I definitely don't feel comfortable watching it with my kids around.

I am not one who usually watches doctor and nurse shows, but I thought I would give this one a chance as I knew some of the actors from other shows. I thought the pilot was great. There is an interesting story line and it will be fun to watch the characters develop and unfold. Thanks NBC for a good one!

P.S. I love Kate Mulgrew as the mother, what a fun and different character for her.

Loved the music that was played during the romantic scene between the two main characters. Does anyone know who the musical artist / name of the song was for the scene?
DannyBoy7
not sure about the show after one episode, but Ms. Schilling has real presence

I was a little skeptical about this new show "Mercy." Is it going to be ER with a new name or another version of Scrubs? What I found was a great show. The acting is wonderful and the characters actually seem like real people that anyone could relate to. I was also quite happy to see Kate Mulgrew back weekly television. She is one of my favorite actresses and can play any role handed to her.

Finally, a fresh show with substance, feeling and great acting!! Please do not cancel this show!!!

I liked it as well. With all the new medical shows this season, great to see Mercy stand out.

The whole cast is great, gotta say loved seeing Kate Mulgrew back hope she makes more appearances.

Thanks,

Oh my God this show really sucked. They should show us some mercy and not make another one. The acting was bad and the main character is a self righteous hypocrite. Of course they make the black chick a typical stuck up gold digger. It trys to be like Grey's anatomy, but with nurses ( notice the corner bar).

Hottt Bartender! Love him smile.gif

Great job NBC, we loved the first episode and can't wait to continue with the series. WE all know Grey's will be ending soon and this is def the next Big Hit! Acting was great and the two men in Veronica's life...I love them both...don't know how to choose! Great job NBC!

I am not a program follower BUT i will start with this one. The mix of the humor and story line are great. Love the characters and how they interact. Great interactions. You have one fan already. Hope this one has staying power.

The dark side of nursing with an hilarious cast. It's an original and refreshing medical drama, far better than the trashy Grey's Anatomy. I'm sure that Mercy will not be everybody's cup of tea, it's already getting some undeserved flack from doctors and residents in another thread on this forum, but it is a great show. Hopefully its audience will find Mercy soon, I get the feeling that this could be one of those shows which suffers from schedule juggling and lack of support, a la Firefly (which also suffered from a weak first ten minutes), leading to its cancellation. I hope that NBC supports and promotes this show like it did for Seinfeld.

Oh and to the offended doctors and residents: I've witnessed many drunk and/or inept doctors in the course of dealing with my or my family's health care, and the nurses did look out for the patient and prevent the doctor from doing serious harm in at least one case. It's nice to see another, more relatable, side to medicine, where the doctors aren't automatically deified (though Scrubs and M*A*S*H were GREAT!)

I liked the show, the only different, this is not original. This is a copy of Hawthorne with Jada Picket. Everything is the same. ie Strong black nurse in Hawthorne, Strong white nurse in Mercy. crying new nurse in Hawthorne, crying new nurse with flower scrub tops. Director of the hospital in Hawthorne is white, Director in Mercy black. There are so many simularties. I may be wrong but just my thought.
