SOW interviews Shawn Christian this week about Daniel and Chloe's story.

At Lucas and Chloe's engagement party, when Daniel and Chloe are together, Lucas knocks on the door. Christian tells SOW that this "shocks them back to reality". They get dressed, and Chloe tells Lucas she'll be right there. Then, Chloe tells Daniel that the two of them are finished. Christian says that in that moment, there "is an acknowledgement" of what Chloe and Daniel feel for each other. "It's beyond sex. In fact, it would be easier if it was just sex." Daniel explains to Chloe that what they have together is "not just physical".

Daniel then keeps asking Chloe if she's sure Lucas is right for her. Daniel tells Chloe he can tell that Chloe doesn't feel the same about Lucas as she does for him.

Then, Daniel and Chloe head down to the engagement party. Daniel makes a toast to the couple and says "I hope all your choices are the right ones and completely fulfill you." Later, Daniel again talks to Chloe and reminds her of their past experiences together: "I know, and you know how we feel about each other, and it wasn't just upstairs."

The next day, Chloe goes to Daniel's apartment, to, as SOW puts it, "insist last night never happened". Daniel asks Chloe to be honest, and he tells her that he thinks her marrying Lucas is a mistake.

Chloe and Daniel then end up making love. Christian says that Daniel "challenges Chloe about how she feels about him. He physically gets into her space. It's a slow burn, if you will."

Kate interrupts the couple when she comes by to drop off something that Daniel left at the party. But Christian says that after Kate leaves, Chloe and Daniel "don't just go back at it." Kate's presence made them realize that what they're doing is "twisted" and wrong.

The article ends with Christian saying that he doesn't know how Daniel and Chloe are going to be able to turn off their feelings. "... no one has stirred Daniel's soul like Chloe. Romance and love aren't always found in a field of flowers. They can be found in some dark corners, too."

This is another old interview from the time that Danloe was discovered by Maggie. I love this one because it laid to rest the idea that Daniel just lusted afte Chloe. In SC's own words he states that Daniel is truly in love with Chloe and that he has never told anyone else that he loved her......I have quoted this many times when needed to defend our couple........February 2009

This week's SOD and SOW both include articles about the Chloe/Daniel story. SOW features an interview with Shawn Christian, and SOD features a short interview with Suzanne Rogers.

After Maggie sees Chloe and Daniel, she goes to the Brady Pub, and Lucas walks in. But Maggie doesn't say anything to him, because as Rogers explains, "She doesn't want to do anything to upset Kate, who just had the transplant, or upset Lucas, because she sees how in love with Chloe he is." Maggie tells Chloe that she won't say anything for now, but if Chloe continues to see Daniel, Maggie will tell Lucas.

The next day, Maggie goes to the hospital and sees Chloe there. She asks Chloe if Chloe's talked to Daniel yet, but Chloe gives a quick answer and leaves. So then Maggie goes to talk to Daniel. Daniel first denies he's having an affair with Chloe, but then Maggie tells him that Chloe admitted it. As Christian says, "Maggie says Chloe's having an affair with someone she doesn't really love and that she's confused. She also calls out Daniel's character and dignity as a man. It's very offensive to Daniel."

Daniel tells Maggie that he can't promise not to see Chloe. Maggie says that she'll have to tell Lucas. Christian says that "part of Daniel is willing to take that risk. Part of him wants the secret out, so this isn't duplicitous for him. Daniel becomes frighteningly surprised at how crazy in love he is with Chloe."SOW then asks Christian if Chloe is not just this week's love for Daniel. Christian responds that "for the record, Daniel has never admitted he's loved anybody up until this point."

As Daniel and Maggie are talking, Lucas shows up, but Maggie doesn't tell him. But, then Kate walks over to them. Kate says that she's afraid Sami will return and become a threat to Lucas and Chloe's future. Christian says that at that moment, Daniel feels "a little awkward, and there are twinges of guilt." However, Daniel knows that if Sami does come between Chloe and Lucas, it may ultimately help him.

Then, later, Chloe goes to Daniel and tells him about her run-in with Maggie. Daniel tells her that they'll just have to be more careful, because as Christian says, "[Daniel] is not ready to give up this woman he is truly crazy in love with." Christian says that Chloe feels the same way about Daniel.

The SOW article ends by saying that Chloe and Daniel then "get hot and heavy again".

Is there something wrong with me that I don't agree with the "twisted" and "wrong" parts of the first interview? Because Chloe broke off the engagement the very next day & she wasn't really in love with Lucas in the first place. If anything was wrong, it was the engagement and marriage. Yes Lucas got hurt, but Chloe got hurt too by following thru with a marriage she didn't want in an effort to "make Lucas happy." You can't "make" someone else happy; not if the cost is your own happiness.

Chip thanks for posting. It is nice to go back and read how Danloe's S/L developed. All the different twists and turns this S/L has taken has been an emotional roller coaster. I will be so glad when Luloe ends and Danloe begins again.

This week's SOD features interviews with Shawn Christian and Lauren Koslow, and this week's SOW features an interview with Nadia Bjorlin.

Daniel brings Kate to a motel room in order to get her to confess. Shawn Christian tells SOD, "He has to lie to her and tell her the tables have turned and people are starting to think she is guilty." He also lies to Kate and tells her that Victor told him she was guilty. Lauren Koslow says, "He kind of drives her to a point where she blurts out what she did." Koslow continues that Daniel tells Kate that she never really affected him, and Kate responds that of course she affected him, because she took Chloe away from him. Koslow says, "And that's the 'confession'... it's pretty dramatic stuff when it happens."

Daniel tapes what Kate says. He plays it back to her, and as Koslow says, "... she freaks out, smacks him over the head and ties him up." Koslow says that Kate has "gone off the deep end" and "is not dealing in reality at this point".

However, Lucas then calls and tells them that Chloe has woken up! Kate "has a moment of clarity and it really hits her," says Koslow. She leaves Daniel tied up and leaves the motel. Christian tells SOD that Daniel fights to get free, because his love for Chloe is motivating him.

Meanwhile, Kate goes to Stefano for help. Koslow says that Kate never would have imagined she'd do this. Kate and Stefano go to the motel, but they see that Daniel has escaped.

At the hospital, Chloe and Lucas talk. Nadia Bjorlin tells SOW that Chloe is "slightly insensitive". Chloe asks where Daniel is, and Lucas asks Chloe why she cares about Daniel, since he tried to kill her. Chloe says that Daniel wouldn't ever try to kill her, and in fact, they're in love with each other. Bjorlin says, "Then, ta-da, Chloe all of a sudden has a moment where she realizes who did this to her: Kate."

Chloe tells Lucas to believe her, since Kate would do anything for her kids, and as Bjorlin says, "it's not like [Kate] hasn't done similar things in the past." Bjorlin continues, "The funny thing is that after how dumb everyone's been about what Kate's been doing, Chloe figures it all out in five minutes."

Chloe then leaves to look for Daniel; at the same time, he's looking for her. Christian says that Daniel has head trauma and is confused, "but that's just phase one of this torturous odyssey of obstacles he has to get through to get to Chloe."

This week's SOD features an interview with Shawn Christian, and this week's SOW features an interview with Nadia Bjorlin.

Daniel escapes from the motel where Kate tied him up, but because Kate had knocked him unconscious, he has trouble walking. He ends up collapsing in the park. He finally makes it to the hospital [the magazines don't say how], and Stefano has someone there waiting to arrest him. At that point, Lucas comes up to talk to Daniel. Daniel apologizes for all of the issues he's caused, but then Lucas punches him and knocks him out. Nadia Bjorlin tells SOW that this is "a great, torturous struggle" for Daniel to finally get to Chloe.

Lucas is arrested, and then Chloe goes to Daniel's hospital room, where he's lying unconscious. Bjorlin tells SOW that Chloe "wakes him up with her voice and her sweet kiss."

Daniel tells Chloe he'll never leave her, but Bjorlin explains that "the legalities of it are a big problem for her", because she's still married to Lucas. Chloe tells Daniel that she needs to talk to a priest.

Chloe talks with Father Matt, who, as Bjorlin says, "tells her to follow her heart and be with her true love." Then Chloe talks to Lucas, and he tells her that the relationship that the two of them had was never really love. He tells her it was just a rebound relationship. Bjorlin says that this "sets Chloe free". At this point, Daniel proposes to Chloe and tells her that he's finished running away from his feelings for her. Shawn Christian tells SOD that Daniel says, "I'm going to be your security blanket; I'm going to be yours forever. You are mine, I am yours. Let's get married."
