BIO
Lee was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma back in 1934. After graduating from Otterbein College in Ohio, she a married a career Marine, Ben Strong, and spent the next 20-plus years raising their four children and traveling around the world. As her kids grew up, Lee worked a series of jobs, including newspaper reporting and as an operator for directory assistance. In May 1995, Lee lost her husband to cancer. To help her cope, Lee began attending a local comedy workshop. Since then she has been making people laugh all around the country. Her goal on "America's Got Talent" is to help older people realize that it's never too late to follow your dreams.

Grandma Lee is so incredibly funny and doesn't give a s*** what people think of her! She doesn't care that she's older, and will chance her dreams no matter what and doesn't care what people say about her!!! She inspires people AND makes them laugh (what more do you need?)!!! PS I love it when she makes sexual jokes about Peirs. Haha never gets old!!!

How are we supposed to CHOOSE tonight?? Grandma Lee had me practically falling off my bed when she did that joke about the small appliances!

I LOVE this woman!!! She is so funny!!! I almost wet myself every time she is on!!! I gave her all my votes!! Yeah she may not be able to put on a show in Vegas for to long, but I hope she get's it!!!!

Yeah that joke WAS funny.... 3 years ago when Robin Williams was doing it. Grandma Lee is a joke thief. Her act lacks comedic timing, originality, and more importantly funny material. Hell, she got cut early on Last Comic Standing. She is far from the best unknown American comic, but somehow is America's best unsigned act? Please! On top of all that, her "witty" banter with Piers will not tranlate ontoa Las Vegas stage. Who votes for these mediocre, no talent hacks?

Why in the heck do you think you can come on here and talk trash about a little old lady who is just trying to fulfill her dream?!?!? Just leave a comment like "I don't like her" and leave it at that! WHAT HAVE YOU EVER DONE???? People like you is why this country is falling apart!!! GET A LIFE!!!

Well, I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person in the country who doesn't think Grandma Lee is the funniest thing to ever hit the stage. Her jokes are stale, her timing is off, and the only time she gets a laugh out of me is when she makes wisecracks about the judges, and as wulfman 9481 said, that won't work in a Vegas act. Sorry, I don't think this is a $1,000,000 act.

Actually I haven't voted for anyone. I don't feel any of these people are an act I would pay to see in Vegas. It is not people like I that are responsible for the decline of American "culture," but people who reward mediocrity. If the masses reward trite garbage such as this, guess what you get more and more of... trite garbage.

I call a foul on AGT! I live in Georgia and repeatedly got a message from AGT that the phone lines to vote were closed during the posted 9:55 - 12 ET. I was locked out of voting; anyone else?

I was disappointed that she didn't make the top 5 when Recycled Percussion did, whose last act Monday night was a disappointment. They didn't even play the percussion solo from Wipeout correctly, and it was too heavy on gimmickry and too light on musical talent -- in short, I thought it was -- er, all wet.

Grandma Lee, OTOH, has the best face for deadpan humor since Buster Keaton. In fact --

Ya Grandma Lee is freakin awsome. She was hella funny and the fact that she is 75 and is performing on national television is amazing. She should have gotten to the top 5 at least. Btw the Texas Tenors were one of the crappiest acts on the sho. Big deal a bunch of guys who can sing country. Thats talent?
