Lawrence Beamen
Singer
Walnut Creek, California
BIO
Lawrence is a native of the Deep South (Mississippi) and his quiet, humble upbringing is a complete contrast to his booming voice and intense passion for music. The remarkable gift grabbed him at the early age of six and it hasn't let go. His gospel background was strengthened with classical training and his repertoire grew through discipline and commitment. Lawrence's sound reflects the great voices that have influenced his musical style: the depth of Barry White, the soul of Mahalia Jackson, the honesty of Bill Withers. His talent as well as his humility have earned Lawrence a place on America's Got Talent and he hopes he'll continue to impress both the audience and the judges.

AMAZING voice and seems like such a sweetheart!! I have sooo many favorites, but Lawrence is definetly in my top 2!!! He has such an amazing story, plus (on camera) he's always humble and soooo nice---he seems like such a sweet guy, which, besides his fantastic voice, is a major reason why I would love if he won! Great job tonight, Lawrence and good luck!! You definetly have my vote (you've had me since the second you opened your mouth during your audition!!!)

OH YEA! Lawrence, you have a gorgeous voice, a winning personality, and charm to top it off. Keep singing, and we're rooting for you!

Wish we had more votes. It's the wrong night for our landline to not work!

No matter if you win or not, don't stop singing!!

Lawrence has a phenomenal voice and humble stage presence. In my opinion he should have sung each week what songs he wanted to, i.e..ballads and gospel. Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself, Lawrence.Last week you wanted to sing "The Lord's Prayer". you should have. Even if you don't win, Lawrence, you will still have won.

OK--Lawrence is just one of this year's finalists that I want you to build a new and annual show on. Let's call it: Catching up with Talent--What are they doing now!!!!
Please oh please a follow-up show. I also what to know what happens to Recycled Percussion and Grandma Lee--and Barbara---Give us fewer of the rotten auditions and MORE of what happened after the season ended!!!!

Lawrence: I was kinda sad that you didn't end up in the top two. Please don't give up. Your voice should be heard. Best wishes too you.

Lawrence is a major talent, a classy man, and was my favourite from the beginning. I truly thought he or Barbara would win, but I'm sure they'll both have bright futures in music.
