The Texas Tenors
Singing Group
Houston, Texas
BIO
In April of 2009, best friends Marcus Collins, JC Fisher, and John Hagen learned that "America's Got Talent" was coming to Texas for auditions. Though they had moved away from each other because of family obligations, they thought coming out to audition would be the opportunity of a lifetime. With various backgrounds in the performing arts, they decided to combine their individual talents and become The Texas Tenors. Mixing country and classical music with their own Texas Tenor flavor, they auditioned with aspirations of winning over the judges and sharing their fresh new act with all of America. JC, a family man with his Texan wife and two sons, currently lives in Kansas. Born and raised on a cattle ranch, he relies on his family's strong foundation of hard work and faith to guide his everyday life. John, considered the rock of the group, brings a wealth of classical music training along with his baritone voice. He divides his time in Texas performing, spending time with family, and running a small art gallery in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Marcus adds a contemporary flair to the group with his unique pop voice and boyish charm. Marcus splits his time between Houston and Sun Valley, California, to be close to his mother and grandparents on the West Coast. As the name of the group suggests, performing together on America's Got Talent affords them the chance to do what they love, and represent their deep-rooted love for the Lone Star State.

They have amazing harmonies and every single one of them have great voices!!! After they sang that one song about America, I was doubtful--but then their next preformance (I can't remember what they sang) knocked my socks off!! They were amazing!! I'm not sure if they'll win, since there are sooo many good acts, but they definetly deserve to be in the finals! Good luck, guys and keep singing from your hearts--you deserve to be where you are, and if this isn't your big break, I'm positive one will be right around the corner!!!

Judges said they're a vegas act, yeah like Elvis after he got fat and couldn't perform like he used to. Would like to hear the deep voiced one with the cute eyes sing with Lawrence Beaman though

Tremendous vocals, great talent and very likable. They may not win, but I would love for them to get a country recording deal. Their vocal talent is beyond most in country music and any other genre. They deserve a shot.

I think they should win. Barbara P. is amazing, but I don't see her in Vegas. I can see the tenors being a huge hit in Vegas. They're all good singers and gorgeous, although I wish Marcus would go back to brown hair.

I tried voting for them last night right after the show, but every time I tried, once I got through the busy signals, I got a message saying voting had closed, even though the show had only finished 20 minutes earlier.

I think they are good and all, I just don't like them. I grew up with country music and I think they killed some of the songs. I hope they get a chance to make their own music, I just don't think it's their time.

They probably won't win if I'm not the only one on this side of the country that had the issue with the voting number telling them that voting had been closed even though it was 20 minutes after the show ended, and there's still no response on NBC at all on this issue which makes me think maybe they're trying to cover something up.

I think these guys are amazing. The harmonies and their unique styles make them VEGAS bound. Not to mention the fact that they are hot guys, too. I am IN LOVE with John Hagen! He could sing to me anytime, anywhere! What a hunk of man. John, if you read these postings, come down to Atlantic City and sing to me! There are lots of venues here that would LOVE YOU GUYS, and I love JOHN! I think they can go all the way tonight!

I'm bothered by the fact that they try so hard to be country when really, every vaguely country song they've sung has not been as good as the not so country ones. They should concentrate on the opera. And they should kick the blonde guy out since the other two are the REALLY good singers. The blond guy is just attractive and...really, who cares?

I was more moved by their final performance than by any other show on that show. They out Sinatra'd The Chairman on that song, IMHBIO. They have raw but well-honed talent and passion in their music. Since Voices of Glory didn't win, I was rooting for them. Now I'm rooting for the Kentucky boy. That's my roots music, and they know how to keep it real down there. Always have. I sat up and took notice from the first notes of his first audition.
