The Voices of Glory
Singers
Highland, New York
BIO
The Voices of Glory are a group of siblings whose unique style of singing harmonies makes them stand out. Michael, Avery, and Nadia started singing together in 2007 after their mother, Felicia, was in a head-on car collision with a drunk driver. She was seriously injured and in a coma. They serenaded their mother for months and she eventually came out of the coma and started rehabilitation. This wasn't the end of the kids' singing, however. They started traveling to nursing homes and other hospitals in an effort to help other patients. Participating in "America's Got Talent" is very important to this group because they want to show their family how much they inspire them.

I hope everyone will vote for them. The first time they performed, when they hit the second line of God Bless America, when all of them hit that tight three part harmony, full voice, out of the blue, I almost fell out of my chair. I have been deeply involved in music all my life, and can count on both hands the number of times I have been as deeply moved as by that performance -- both by their native talent and by the professionality -- the arrangement especially, the creativity of the originality and subtlety of the chord changes.
Not only were there harmonies spot-on pure and perfectly tight, but when the girl took the solo in the middle, the only thing I could think of was Aretha Franklin blowing the roof off the room singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl XL in Detroit in 2006. She took over from Aaron Neville on "And the rockets' red glare", and my head exploded. Pretty much like when Nadia's brothers joined in on the second line of that song in their first performance.
Make no mistake, little Nadia will grow up to have such a voice. They deserve the million dollar prize, and think what it would do for their family circumstances. All of these people will go on to successful careers.
But these kids are the future. They are at the beginning of a life of music, and think about how easy it would be for circumstances to get in the way of them fulfilling their destiny, as it almost did in that tragic accident. But that didn't happen -- coincidence? Chance? Fate?
I hope everyone votes for them. Their music and their future potential deserve to win.
