I dont think they are waterloading the first week.. I think they are just trying to figure things out..
Really? They always lose double-digits the first week and then somewhere around 2lbs the 'dreaded week 2'.....It's happened since season 1.
That's my personal theory

Hi, Everybody
Couldn't wait for the new season to start. So far, everyone seems decent and caring about the other contestants. We'll see how long it last.
Anyway, I have got to agree with another poster about the cursing of Bob & Jillian. There are children watching, and there are no excuses for it. If they keep it up, the trainers will definitely be the biggest losers.
My heart is breaking for Abby. She seems like she will be strong and has a good partner.
Apparently, the show's management read these posts. How else to explain Daniel's return.
Here's to another inspiring season !!

I understand. I just think they lose so much so fast cuz they have so much more to lose in the beginning. I DO think they waterload for sure.. But I dont think it happens this soon. But I understand where your coming from.

I can see where NBC might exploit her story more than others but I don't think it is there yet. NBC will do anything for ratings but my tears for her haven't run out yet.

I wish that the first week nobody would be sent home. From watching previous seasons, it seems that the contestants mentally get into the permanent weight loss only during week two or three. Getting rid of the first week elimination may also give more dynamic or tension to the show.

I just want to say how truly touched I am by Abby. The loss of 1 loved one is very difficult; but to lose 3-2 of which are her children; it is heart wrenching!! As a single mother of 2, I truly couldn't fathom losing either one of them. Regardless of how much faith I have, and how much I know that God will get me through anything; I don't know if I would have as much courage as she does to get out of bed every day, let alone to come on the show and allow the entire country to learn about her story. God Bless You, Abby!! Your "angels" are definitely watching over you every single day!!!

I agree. I think only one week on the ranch is NOT long enough for anyone. Maybe next season they will let ppl stay the first week. It would be a nice change.

I think they should go 4 weeks before eliminating someone. When people have the starting weights that these contestants have, they need more than one week to learn and apply new habits. I really
don't think it's fair to cut them so soon.

At least we'll get to see the "update" at the end. It is so strange to see these people leave early, and then, see them at the finale.

I am happy to see others speaking out about the language on tonight's show. That was an editing choice they made to use those clips with that language. And to hear Jillian calling that man her b*tch, it makes my stomach roll. If it continues to be this bad for the next few weeks, I'll have to stop watching. And that makes me sad because I've already gotten so into so many of the stories. I hope they can find some cleaner footage to air, airing the foulest parts really isn't necessary!

My husband and I love watching the Biggest Loser, and have watched it faithfully for the past several seasons. However, as we sit here and watch the first episode of season 7 we are surprisingly disappointed. While the premis of the show is still the same, one thing is dramatically different, and it didn't take long for us to notice...the language. The cursing that is taking place is almost unbelievable! While we've been faithful followers and supporters of the show for quite some time, if the language continues we will definitely stop watching it. Obviously that's not what we want, but it isn't a show that we can watch with our family when every other word is being beeped out. Has anyone else noticed this change?
My wife and I agree - see our post in the Negative folder DDnKD

I have tried out for this show since season two. Both videos and casting calls. People always tell me I didn't look big enough because I carry my weight differently than most TBL contestants but I would still watch the show and see women like Helen and Ali and Julie, etc. and thought, man that sucks because I weigh the same as them!! Anyways, without really consciously trying and/or weighing myself, I had a super-busy summer and lost some weight. I didn't even really know I had lost any until a few weeks ago when I weighed myself at my parents house! Anyways, after watching the starting weigh-in, I realized that this is the first season that I have actually been lighter than all of the contestants.... not by much, but still!! That kind of made my day! Already thinking that Mo and Daniel are going to be favorites. Not really digging the Black team girl so much. I understand her angst but that was low to bash her partner... they have to work together for the rest of the year! And I agree that the language and Jillian's b***h commentsare uncalled for. Oh, guess black team girl just got the boot. Hope she has good luck and does it on her own!
