here's something i never understood.

On "Friend's", In season 2, a special in season 6, and in season 7 on, Joey stars on Days Of Our Lives.

Most of the plot of Joey's days is diffrent, however in Season 2, before he falls down the elivator shaft, you see Mike Horton. In the special in season 6, He is in a scene with Kevin Sparts and Kristin Alfonso where "The evil Dr. Wesley" was trying to kill "Hope Brady".

In one ep they are watching Days and you see John on screen.

And in an ep i just watched again yesterday, Joey has a "Days" party. And while most of the people wernt real, Matthew Ashford gives Rachel his number, and Kyle Lowder signs monica's bra.

(So sad most of these ppl are gone...)

Anyway, here's what I never understood.

There's an ep where Joey is up for an award and he dosn't get it, and he's mad. Afterwords, he has to accept for a woman named "Jessica Ashley." He goes to give it to her later, and it turns out, "Jessica Ashley" is Alison Sweeny.

So im confused here...

They had Kyle and Matthew on as themselves, Creig, Hope, and Mike as the charicters... so why didn't they say "This award is for Alison Sweeny?" Why did they have to make up a charicter?

I don't know, good question,Mackenzie Westmore from ''PASSIONS'' was on there too and they gave her a fake name too.I know the character ''Joey'' was playing ''Doctor Drake'' was a fun attempt a mocking Drake Hogestyn,he knew about it,he thought it was funny.

I laughed so hard when I found that out. Still think it's funny.

I had no idea they referenced Days so many times. And I have no idea why she had a fake name and no one else did.

Yeah they did have a lot of Days references. I own every episode and seen every one like 10 times at least but all those Days references meant nothing to be at the time for a long time since I didn't watch Days.

And I think the reason they made up Jessica Ashley is they didn't want everyone to think AS was playing
herself and that was how she was in real life. So they made up a character so no one would get confused and her name wouldn't be dragged in the mud.

That makes sense because she's not a very nice person in that epi!!

Although I loved that Joey played a character on Days, it was quite unrealistic to begin with since they were in New York and Days is filmed in LA. I really, really loved it when Joey showed "smell the fart" acting...an obvious reference to some of Drake Hogestyn's facial expressions.

And then, when his character fell down the elevator shaft after telling SOD that he wrote most of his lines! rolling.gif rolling.gif rolling.gif

I didn't know that. If I had, I might have been wishing Joey pulled him into the elevator shaft with him! rolling.gif

Today on a rerun of Friends, Joey was teaching an acting class and he told the students when they did something bad they had to do the "I've Got A Fishhook In My Eyebrow" look. laugh.gif
