There's a thread for characters who haven't been on the show in quite (Nick and Chelsea) awhile and for couples who haven't been together in years (Phil and Chloe) but not one for Phil and Melanie?

Does this make sense? They're reving up a triangle between Phil/Mel/Nathan.

I for one, think Nathan's perfect for Stephanie and Melanie brings a special light to Phil's eye that Stephanie jsut doesn't.

I think they are gearing up for a quadrangle...Philip/Melanie/Nathan/Stephanie.

I know who I am rooting for...Philip and Melanie.

They have a definite spark...some pizzazz...nothing boring about these two.

I know Philip and Melanie are extremely hot sometimes they only have a couple of minutes and that's all they need to leave me wanting more. Especially if they're in a heated argument/disagreement like the one they had on Friday. It was so sweet when Philip said he liked Mel and wanted to be with her.

I love Mel and Phil but I don't want Melanie to chase after him, and he was suggesting just that. The cheek of him. I think we have enough of women chasing the guys on this show. We have Arianna chasing after Brady all teary eyed, we had Nicole begging EJ to take her back even though she had the door slammed in her face more than once and, we have Mia begging Will to forgive her when in reality she hasn't done anything wrong and, also had Sami chasing after Rafe. Is there anyone else I have missed out?

Phillips behavior towards Mel was terrible. Not good that he kept flip flopping from Mel to Steph at the drop of a hat. I can't get over the fact how quickly he shifted his feelings from Steph to Mel after repeatedly telling Stephanie how much he loved her. Phillip has a lot to prove before Melanie takes him seriously again, and mere words is not going to do it. I really hope the writers don't let her fall for any of his BS and that she continues to be strong. Philip has to prove to Mel, and to us that, he is really serious about her and, he does not just want to be with her because she accepts him for who he is and Stephanie doesn't. There is no need for them to rush their story, so I hope the writers take their time over this so that I can start liking Philip again and not see him as a user. Still Love Mel and Phils chemistry though, and enjoy their scenes but I will be disappointed if she gives into him.

I totally agree, Philip should have to prove himself to her. I think he's finally realizing how much he's hurt her though. I want their story to unfold slowly too. I have nothing against Stephanie, but I do not want her paired with Philip again. I think Melanie is more his match, but who knows how this will play out.

I agree there should be an update for couples on the Love in the Afternoon.
