Michael is so good at putting his foot in his mouth and/or shooting himself in that foot.

Love that Michael has to ask his mother about a promotion.
vbarkley
Why would David EVEN ask Michael's advice??????????????????

Gotta love the Sesame Street analogy.

I hope that there's some way that if Wallace does consider it, Toby's crush on Pam is brought up. That would probably help.

Maybe that was Michael's review and he changed the names. But then again, Toby did have that skeevy perv thing for Pam, ergo he isn't Jim's friend anymore.

Exactly. Co-managers? Expecting Michael Scott to give up some of his duties and share? And seriously, has David never seen a performance review of Jim's before?

Not happy about this episode either.

He must have seen at least one. This isn't the first time Wallace has interviewed him.
Wedd329
So Scranton absorbed Buffalo's clients but not it's employees? I guess there was no need for a merger since 1) they did that already and 2) they don't need to get Jim back in the office somehow.

It can't be. This isn't the first time Wallace has interviewed him.

Exactly, Wallace thought enough of Jim to interview him for the corporate job back at the end of season 3 and even thought enough of Jim to call him into the meeting with Charles and Dwight last season...and Jim proved to have strong ideas and suggestions. And now he's relying on an unbalanced Michael to evaluate Jim as a manager, geez.

It was almost like Michael was reading his own performance eval. and who is to say that Michael was not just making up what he was reading? If it was a legit eval from Toby then it has to be taken with a huge grain of salt because of Toby's bias against Jim because of Pam (as someone else mentioned).

I know that Jim needs to remain in the Scranton branch to make things work but in the real world I would hope a "Jim" would high tail it out of there and realize the place and the people are looney tunes. I can't help but feel that Jim compromised his integrity and potential but buying into Michael's and David's plan.

Very disappointed in Michael's continued lack of growth and integrity...and Dwight is out for blood! Yikes!
