Sometimes I think this show is a little too blatant with their product placements, but that's what makes this game possible!
Product Placements I caught:
- MacBooks in Dial-A-Hero office
- Gretchen driving a Scion (I still hate them)
- Hit-you-over-the-head-with-it use of Guitar Hero
- Cell phones seen taking pictures of the crime scene
- Mention of Google (Might not be intentional).
Anyone spot any others?
(I'm also sure the sponsors will be drooling for days on end if they find out about this)

you do realize that companies pay to have their products used in shows and movies. It's a marketing ploy.

See...the thing is, a product placement is only problematic when it is obvious
and clashes with the scene.
Of your list, the only painfully obvious one was the Macbook.

I thought facebook and guitar hero were very obvious.

Yeah, but they don't clash with the scenes. When I said painfully obvious, I meant it actually pulled me out of the scene for a second- the way the camera lovingly scanned, slowly, over the logos on the MacBooks.

even the Mac computers didn't clash with the scene because you have to figure that for their business they would need computers and these are the ones they chose.

Well, they all got a better deal than the Sunmaid raisins in Back to the Future.

Yeah. I understand. It's just the way the camera did a slow pan over the logo pulled me out for a second. Not bad, but enough to be noticeable. The facebook, and the Guitar Hero (although they called it Rock band or something similar), and the handful of others all fit and didn't pull me out.
Although the requisite Nissan promo (when the roomie, I think Annie, pulled up in the new Cube) was a bit jarring for a second.

I saw that more as a slow pan on Hiro and not really the laptops. They were just in the scene in front of him.

Jack Sparrow's compass. How did THAT get in there? LOL

It is worse when the ads are international and are really out of place. Guitar Hero just seemed out of place, because of how much it was mentioned.

Yeah...they never said Guitar Hero actually. They said Rock Band. And it was "mentioned" maybe twice, and shown for a grand total of 30 seconds at a party where a bunch of kids were playing it.

if they said rock band, i'm sure the game they were using was rock band then. Similar game, different company. I'll have to rewatch.

Well at least they know not to use myspace that's not popular any longer with twitter and facebook out now.

not really because a lot of times company's will pay shows and movies to have them use their product in the series or movies.

The biggest one for me that 'clashed' with the scene was Gretchen driving the Nissan Cube. I just didn't buy that she would drive that thing.
