Full Version: Todd F. Packer and Lonny a.k.a. "Sea monster"
NBC > Primetime > The Office > The Scuttlebutt
Where_Is_Packer
Just wondering what ever happened to a couple of characters. What happened to Todd Packer? We haven't seen him in a long time and I don't think the character should appear too frequently, but having Michael's old buddy show up occasionally provided some good comedy. Does anyone know if he's coming back anytime?

Also, what happened to the warehouse worker Lonny, the one Kelley called "sea monster" in the episode "Safety Training"? I know he only showed up occasionally, but he was pretty funny when he was there.

I've been wondering the same thing. Last time I can think of that we heard from Packer was right before Phyllis' wedding. He provided much hilarity.

Surprised nobody else has yet posted this, probably an indication of how few are watching:
The actor who played Todd Packer is a regular on the new Kelsey Grammer ABC sitcom "Hank". Wed at 8(ET-PT), 7(CT-MT).

I have been wondering that too. Oh how the show has changed over the years

Sort of on-topic, here's something I'd like to see.

In the UK version of the Office, there's an episode, might even be a special, or something (too lazy to look it up right now), where Ricky Gervais' character (the British version of Michael Scott) ends up telling off the British version of Todd Packer once and for all.

I would love to see Michael, at some point, finally stand up to Packer and take him down a few notches in a similar fashion.

This.

These were exactly my thoughts as I watched the British Christmas special.

Packer and Michael's relationship isn't quite as nasty as Brent and Finchy's, but I'd still love to see Michael give him a good "eff off." It's so painful watching Michael play into all of Packer's obnoxiousness when we the audience know that Michael's own views are quite different from his "friend"'s. It's Michael's desperate, simpering desire for friendship that leads him to give into peer pressure. Michael has on occassion kind of/sort of stood up to Packer, but nothing like how Brent stood up to Finchy at the end.

Also, the American Office has been picking up on a lot of the British plotlines lately. Perhaps it's now time for this one?

I miss Todd Packer. He was hilarious, in a really annoyingly offensive way. I love the way Michael idolizes him, I can't think of anyone less deserving of adoration!

But then again how can you not want to be friends with someone who asks if you're off sniffing some guys thong or gave us such classic greetings as 'Whatz up ma nerds!' - Sophisticated stuff.
