I've been looking for FNL on the schedule. Why is it on Direct TV? I don't get it. That means it won't air on NBC?

FNL will be back on NBC next summer. Like last year, NBC and Direct TV made a deal and FNL runs first on Direct tv and then on NBC. Without this deal there would not be FNL. Direct TV is paying a large portion of the costs of making the show.

If they made a deal, why can't they run both the same time. It's not as if people have both cable and Direct TV and either are losing in ratings?

I really don't know the answer to your question other than it was part of the deal they made. Direct tv would pay production cost and in return Direct tv gets to show it first. The choice to wait until next summer is all NBC. As you know FNL was in the spring last year.

at least it isn't cancelled.... I do hate having to wait FOREVER for the show on NBC though... I wish they would have done the same thing and saved The Black Donnellys as well... I feel like NBC really lets down the 20's early 30's age group and keeps cancelling their favorite shows on the network.

Even more nutz is NBC basically put FNL on the back burner yet is running some of these other shows, that will never make it. FNL is written, directed, & produced sooooo good. The show is incredible. Characters are very well done, only a few issues I have with the writting.. Riggins drinking in bars.. can he really be 21 just out of high school or is the legal age in Texas 18 ?!??! Sleeping with the bartender... those are the things that could be left out.. cuz its just cheezy... but most of the other character's have been very well created..

My wife and I haven't missed a show since it started... very good stuff!! Go East Dillon
