I can't believe we don't have this thread already.

In honor of their big day, a poem and toast to our favorite couple.
Please post your own toasts and wedding wishes. smile.gif

I can hardly suppress a squee!
I'm so excited to see
dear Pam, blushing bride,
and Jim at her side,
getting married on my TV!

6 years it's been in the making,
his hand she is finally taking.
Jim's dreams have come true,
at last they are two
(plus a little Tuna that's baking!)

What fun we could have in store
to learn secrets we haven't before
from sisters and brothers,
fathers and mothers,
and dysfunctional relations galore.

Though the setting will be quite romantic
getting Michael there could be frantic.
Will he make a wrong turn
his GPS can't discern,
and end up in the Atlantic?

Will the bachelors be on the make?
Here's a bet I'm willing to take:
someone will get laid
by a pretty bridesmaid
before they finish cutting the cake.

At the reception fun will abound,
Kelly won't let us down.
If they get in her way
when Pam throws the bouquet,
the girls could have a real smack down.

Will Bob, no wedding rookie,
ask Phyllis to play hookie?
Will they both stay
or sneak away
and give up the punch for some cookie?

Ribs on the menu? She hopes.
Food is one way she copes.
But if they serve liqueur
it will go quicker
to the scene where Meredith disrobes.

I've waited for this day so long
I can't wait to see what goes wrong.
The fun's in the pranks,
the pain and the angst,
to which the best moments belong.

So, to the lucky couple, at toast!
A rich and full life may they boast,
and continue to be,
for Jamfinity,
suffering on the show I love most. wub.gif

Hey MJ! I LOBE this! I'll definitely toast to this wonderous ode to Love's Eternal Glory! *clink* smile.gif

I don't know that I can match your creativity plus I have to get enough work done tomorrow to earn my 4 day weekend, but I'll give it a shot!

(I am not worthy!)

Wow awesome MJ!

For my tiny little contribution, I can only quote Michael Scott:

"Let the bells of Dunder Mifflin chime out your love. Because this is really good, this is really good. My heart soars with the eagles nest."

"groom" of course...]

Swedish Chef:

Sam The Eagle:
Well, can't we start without them?
Muppet News Anchorman:
No, you can't until they're here.
Sam: Hmm.
Chorus of Penguins:
They're fin-all-y getting ma-rrr-ied now!
[Musical bridge, sounds of wedding bells]
Miss Piggy:
He'll make me happy
Each time I see him
He'll be the reason
My heart can sing
He'll stand beside me
And now I'm everything.
Kermit:
She'll make me happy
Each time I hold her
And I will follow
where my heart may lead
And she'll be all I'll ever need
Babies:
Days go passing into years
Old Ladies:
Years go passing day by day.
Audience (with sobbing heard):
She'll make him happy
Now and forever
Until forever
their love will grow
She only knows
he'll make her happy
That's all she needs to know.
They'll be so happy
Now and forever
Until forever
their love will grow-
Miss Piggy:
I only know
He'll make me happy
That's all I need...to...know...
Fozzie: (whispering): Hey, Gonzo, I thought you were going to play the
priest?
Gonzo: (enthralled): Shhhh!
Priest:
Do you, Piggy, take this frog to be your lawful wedded husband--do you?
Miss Piggy:
I do...
Priest:
Do you Froggie take this Pig to be your lawful wedded wife until you die?
Kermit:
Well, I? Well....I...?
Priest:
Do you?
Kermit:
(gulp). I do...
Priest:
Then because you share a love so big
I now pronounce you frog and pig.
[THE Kiss.]
Celebration, cheering from all the Muppets. Penguins evidently are tossed
or throw themselves across the aisle.
Kermit:
What better way could anything end?
Hand in hand with a friend."

Lol! I am surprised someone else recognized it.

When I was a kid--my mom was a HUGE Miss Piggy fan for me. Everything was "Miss Piggy" So naturally, The Muppets Take Manhattan is my favorite "wedding" movie.

Me at 1 1/2 years with Miss Piggy

Awww! How cute!

I'm a big muppets-gal myself. The wedding with Kermit and Miss Piggy is so touching, especially the line "They'll be happy, now and forever, until forever, their love will grow.
I only know he/she makes me happy. That's all I need to know."

I love that you brought that up!!!
