I said two unknowns- but I really want Sami & Rafe to be her parents. But as an adoptive mother, i know for a fact that biology does not make parents. And Rafe is the best father for her. And Sami is a great mother.

I said two unknowns for the first one and Ej and Nicole for the second. I'd rather Nicole be the mom and a unknown dad but will settle for Ej and Nicole being the parents.

I've always believed that was too obvious, so I am thinking there is a huge twist coming! There is always a possibility of a multiple switcharoo because do we really know what happened with Nicole's baby?

It's hard for me to pick who I want to be Sydney's parent's. Part of me wants it to be Nicole's just because I think everyone should be able to have their own child. I would like it to be Sami's but I don't want it to be EJ's baby with Sami. Basically I just want it to be over with.

OMG!!! I can't believe it. That would be hilarious if it was a Lumi baby and that's what happened. The writers can't possible be smart enough to remember that part of their history so I doubt it will happen but it would be funny.

EJ has his fatherly rights to the child and he is a good father to both Johnny and Allie.
And he was a awesome father to 'Sydney' before the truth about Nichole's lies was revealed.
He might want to distance himself because he's feeling extremely hurt at the moment but once all the manure smelling lies are revealed, he will take back his daughter in less than a heartbeat.

Rafe has no business to try and be a father to 'Sydney' before EJ could have his chance.

I voted for EJ and Sami both times...not really sure how anyone can think that Sydney belongs to anyone but EJ and Sami at this point. Even if you don't support Ejami or would choose Sydney to belong to others, there is no indication in this storyline that Sydney belongs to anyone but EJ and Sami. To think that it will be revealed otherwise is just setting yourself up for disappointment. Sydney is EJ and Sami's baby, this story has been about Ejami from day one. We already know the baby is EJ's...Sami told us it was and only could be...can't be Lucas', he even confirmed that. And as for Rafe, she was pregnant when she met Rafe, so not sure how that will happen. As for Sydney being Nicole's, why would Nicole go to such great lengths to cover her lies if the baby were actually her's??
We know Nicole lost her baby. We know she originally had Grace from the day Mia gave birth. We know she was there the day Sami gave birth to Sydney and we know she switched the babies.
There is no doubt to whom Sydney belongs.

Who I want as Sydney's parents are EJ and Sami, the same people who have been Sydney's parents all along, even though neither one knows it. When the reveal takes place, EJ and Sami will be ecstatic to have their sweet baby girl. I cannot wait to see them both reunited with Sydney. It's going to be so sweet!

You're a Sami fan, right? I'm going to assume you are because you're a Lumi fan, and Sami is half of Lumi. So anyways, I'm not trying to be rude, or cause an argument but if you're a Sami fan, why wouldn't you want her to have this child? After everything that has happened to Sami this past year, and all the sadness and grief and hurt that she has been through - especially with Grace - having this baby would bring her joy. And yeah, I know you cannot replace one child with another, but Sami would be overjoyed to learn Sydney was hers. She already has this bond with her, and she already cares about her, being her mother would be great.

I voted for EJAMI both times. Sydney is their baby. Period.

Some don't care if Sami gets her baby back merely because EJ is the father. I think that's why some are hoping against hope that EJAMI does not have another child to bond them. But it was stated from the beginning that Sami was pregnant by EJ and we watched the switch play out. We saw Sami give birth to Sydney, and we saw Dr. Baker hand her to Nicole. How much clearer can it be?

I must respectfully disagree. I saw Nicole have a miscarriage. I honestly don't feel they will bring her back to life. JMO

It would be nice if Grace (Chad/Mia's baby) hadn't died. But unfortunately that was what we saw happen on the show. As for the sleep walking sex episode no I don't think that happened in regards to Sydney's paternity. What I saw was two people (Ejami)with sizzling passion doing the horizontal mambo. IMO EJ and Sami are baby Sydney's biological parents. I don't feel that that will change.

No, I haven't really stopped. I just haven't been posting as much, on this board. With all the EJ and Ejami hate that has really been building up, it just gets frustrating. I want to post, this board has become so full of anger and hatred sometimes it's just a downer posting. I stick mostly to ForbiddenLove. It's not as angry lol. Are you a member there?

To answer your first question...yes...I'm a Sami fan...I've been a Sami fan even before Lucas appeared on the show and just FYI...the good majority of Lumi fans (were Sami fans first). In a strange way I always rooted for her even after all the crazy stuff she did. I would root for her as the underdog then, I frankly started to think something was terribly wrong with Sami when she would let a man like EJ control her every move. The Sami I know would have NEVER done that, she was always in control of the situation she was never afraid....but I guess when EJ revealed himself as a Dimera she didn't know what to do....but the Sami I know would have schemed with the Lucas I knew to end that stupid vendetta before it started. No one else was ever a step ahead of Sami, no one else was and when someone would try (Lucas, Brandon, Kate) she would always be a step ahead of them (weather right or wrong wasn't the answer). The fact that they re-wrote sami totally out of character to be able to make EJ look better was what turned me off to the Sami that I knew and loved, but once again I see she has come to her senses somewhat and I am rooting for her again. To answer the bolded text I don't think Sami deserves to have a child with a man that has hurt her and her family the way he has and not shown an ounce of remorse for it. Before you bring Lucas into the mix...I will remind you that he did show remorse, we saw him not wanting to do what he did but following his mother's every move and he apologized (over and over) for all the hurt he did to her and she in turn has also apologized for all she did to him (they put EACH OTHER THREW HELL)...what did Sami ever to do EJ to deserve what EJ did to her. That is why I believe EJ deserves all he has been put through lately...he deserves to know that two women lied to him and he deserves to think that both of his daughters died and he deserves to live his life miserable, alone and unloved.

We will know from the writers what way they'll go with this...I for one believe that Ej finds out before Sami and keeps the truth from her as payback....he doesn't learn that in the end..you might hurt the one you love but at least you try to make amends and make the situation better for the sake of your children. He hasn't shown he is capable of that....

In regards to this baby bringing joy to Sami...of course it will...but realistically she still mourned for Grace and nothing will ever take that away from her, Sydney will help but it still happened in the end. Also you mentioned that Sami's bonded with Sydney? Nicole has....Sydney sees Nicole as her mommy and EJ has her daddy. To think how much trouble that poor little baby is going to have to endure is unbearable...

agreed, nothing is ever as it seems on a soap. They've lead us to believe that Sydney is EJ and Sami's and remind us everyday for 10 months. The writers have something up their sleeves that is going to throw everyone for a loop.

It will be EJ and Sami, I'm sure of it.

This storyline is about the deception that has been brought upon these two characters. To me, Sami's "unexplainable" bond to Sydney confirms that she is her daughter. Sami trusted Nicole, EJ trusted Nicole, Mia, Brady, EVERYONE trusted Nicole, only for them to have all been hurt by her.

This storyline is also about Nicole. And let's not forget how it started: with the film noir. In that fantasy she ended up alone. The supporting characters warned EJ against her. Nicole was warned by Brady that she will lose everything. She will. Her redemption will be the "rehabilitation centre".

This is not a storyline that will have a happy ending. It's a story about betrayal. In EJ's case, by Sami, Nicole, and his father. The three people that mean most in his life. He's the main focus, IMO - it's about his redemption. No one can say he didn't suffer for his "sins" (although many will just for the sake of argument, IMO). In Sami's case, "what goes around comes around" comes to mind. She grieved (and is grieving) for a child that was never hers, while her flesh and blood is at the Dimera household and in Stepahno's adoring arms, the very things she didn't want for her daugher.

What the end result will be remains to be seen, but it will be a happy ending, because after all, this is a soap and "the bad guys" won't win. EJ and Sami are the victims in this, EJ in particular.

ok, i'm rooting for Nicole to have the happiness that has so long eluded her. Sami has all she needs, and Nicole still has nothing. She loves EJ, although, i like her with Brady too - but i like the new Arianna with him as well (Passions drama notwithstanding)...

somehow, maybe Stefano did a bad thing many moons ago, and switched the babies... using some twist of facts.

oh, someone here said the writers may not be clever enough... been watching Days for a few decades, and the way they can manipulate 'reality' is never beyond dispute. but, some very cool storylines have developed via some liberties with what we thought were facts.

that's the joy of it, though, eh? it doesn't always have to be ultra-realistic to make a cool twist. if we needed complete truth we'd never watch soaps to begin with, would we? i like the liberties that Days takes. though the 'facts' may get twisted the end result is usually worth it.

remember when everyone was killed off? Good Golly!! that learned me, lol. nothing is as it seems, and that is a luxury that soaps have.

oops, sorry. anyway, hope that EJ and Nicole make it, though Nicole deserves Brady.

It could very well turn out that Sydney belongs to Sami and EJ, but then what is the shocking conclusion that Corday talked about? Unless he was just blowing smoke, there has to be something more that happens. Otherwise this whole long drawn out storyline that has been going on all year will end up being a total dud.

I had to wonder if there was some foreshadowing going on in Friday's episode when EJ was holding Johnny and said "At least I still have you". It made me think that maybe that won't be the case when this is all over. It could be that Johnny is really Lucas' and Stefano knows it. Maybe he even knew that somehow Sami wasn't pregnant with EJ's child last year (like maybe EJ has a low sperm count or something). But then when Nicole got pregnant, Stefano might have thought "Holy smokes! EJ finally did get someone pregnant!" and he wanted to make sure that pregnancy went to term. He may have been concerned that Nicole would start drinking again while pregnant, so he made sure she "miscarried" so he could take the developing fetus and incubate it somehow so everything turned out OK.

This is all speculation on my part, but I'm not going to count out anything where this show is concerned. They have done so many bizarre things over the years and rewritten so many things that anything is possible.

I remember reading a while back that someone was at one of those ask the actors things and asked either JS or BD about Sydney's parenthood and they hinted toward Mia and Chad being her parents. Which leads me to think that Dr. Baker somehow pulled a double switch.

I know I did not waste my time on the baby switch story. Sydney better be EJ and Sami's or I will stop watching Days...

I think it will be Mia and Chad or EJ and Nicole. I think the storyline isn't over and there is going to be one more plot point to the story, one more twist to turn everything upside down. For the audience, it's too easy to be Ej and Sami's baby. We need another shocker point because the story was carried on for SO long and we've always known the truth, we've just been waiting for the characters to find out and that just makes a boring storyline.



And personally, I want it to be Mia and Chad's. I really like Mia/Will and it would be a real challenge for them if Mia had a baby and there are so many teen pregnancies today and I would love to see Mia and Chad struggle with it.

Ultimately I hope Sydeny is Mia & Chad's child.

It's a soap, remember? Anything goes. EJami is gone, if it was ever really there on Sami's part. That said, it would make perfect soap sense to have the baby belong to either EJ and Nicole or to Chad and Mia. Remember, it's a soap and nothing is ever clear.

The explosive ending, IMO is going to be Nicole's car blowing up with her and Sydney in it, like on Passions. Let's see if it happens....
