I was just wondering if this show was canceled...since there is so many negative people posting about it..

I liked the show, thought it was pretty cool...I noticed it wasnt very accurate but I dont really care about that..unlike a lot of people here it seems..

Seems also that the last show was on 12-13-2008 or around that time with only 13 episodes?..short run..thats 7months without another episode(not counting December,counting July)..

People need to understand that Movies and TV shows WILL NOT always follow any books or stories very accurately...

I am so hoping this series is going to continue on......

We have become real Merlin fans!! I didn't know this was a BBC series. We really like the actor who plays Merlin...also, Arthur.

The story lines have been intriging and fun!

I just became aware that the season finale is Sunday Aug 23 in the US. This is a wonderful show and I am enthralled with it each week. Can't let this show end. Any suggestions of mounting a campaign to convince NBC to renew the show? Who is the right person to email???? Please help.

I love Merlinm, even my husband who is not fan of TV Series, watches with me and asks me when/what time is coming on. Please keep the show coming.

So hard to find out any info regarding this great show! I was so disappointed to see the season come to an end. Please tell me there is a season 2...and when does it start??

I think it would be the nbc studios address. I hope they air season 2 sometime next summer or in the winter. It said season finale and not series finale so that gives me some hope it might return. Otherwise, the US won't get to see it at all and it's doing great in the UK. That's a great idea on a campaign to help get them to renew it here.

Great show, NBC, I also hope you'll continue to carry it, and that the shows become available on DVD eventually.

This is a good family show. I think it works very well as a summer fill-in. Also it's in a good time slot for this type of show.

NBC if you read this bring it back next summer. I don't think it would fit in the normal TV season. But I do think it works good in a summer slot.

PLEASE KEEP MERLIN!!!!!!! I rarely schedule my life around TV, and then of course get hood winked by a back-to-back starting at 7pm. I just finished watching the last 3 shows this weekend, and I am devastated to think that it will no longer be on.

Please keep the show. Between Chuck, Merlin, and Eli Stone (abc), I am losing my shows right and left. While I recognize that this show has not been to the official story, I thought it was a creative adaptation that kept me engaged and constantly yearning for more. It was my favorite on the NBC schedule.

The BBC is starting the second of Merlin in a few weeks. I hope we don't have to wait until summer to see them.

I have been searching to see if NBC will bring Merlin back for a 2nd season and have seen some blogger postings indicating they are but I've seen nothing "official". Anyone have the scoop?

Please bring Merlin back for a second season! I'm not big into message boards, but both my husband and I enjoy Merlin. And we're tired of seeing the shows that we like going away. Glad to hear this is from the BBC, U.S. tv seems to keep a lot of the other shows from there around. Hope we get to see the second season!

well I found it on the net before Nbc picked it up and that was on the BBC and as far as I can tell they droped it after them episode 13 which made me very sad because as a fantasy fan and a fan of the legends although the show may be a little diffrent it is still some af the best entertainment I've seen in a long time that can be enjoyed with the whole family from young to old .... so I can only hope that NBC for once see's the light and continues the show I'm sick of losing good showa like the bionic woman, chuck, Jurneyman (really miss that one) in favor of reality trash I watch tve to take a break from reality I don't wanna turn on my tv and see it... please bring back merlin

Thanks LRazz for that hopeful news of the blogger postings. I hear they should air it next summer from fans but nothing concrete yet. What else do they have to show in the summer but more reality crap and reruns. LOL It was a fun summer with Merlin and Listener instead of a rerun in those time slots. I appreciated that. I prefer a new show like this one with excitement and fun. I do hope we get the second season. I'll be forever indebted to nbc if they renew it. LOL I shouldn't say that but I'd be very grateful. haha

Except for sports, we watch very, very few network shows but somehow stumbled upon "Merlin" and loved it. It was so sad to hear that the season was ending. It's a great "get away from it all show", and we are hoping that it will be back sooner than later.

Hey, I'm not sure what the guidelines are for starting a new thread, but since people seem interested in season 2 of Merlin, I thought I'd start one. That way, if anyone 1.) knows when/if it is going to be shown again in the US 2.) knows if it's going to be shown on NBC or on another channel like BBC America or 3.) knows where we can all go to watch live full episodes ( like if Hulu or someone else starts showing full episodes of Merlin ), then they can put up the link here and we can all come here to find it.

Also, if you are interested in having NBC air the second season, it might not hurt to put up a quick post here and say so - who knows, they might read it.

Definitely Merlin needs to be picked up for 2nd season. NBC should work out a deal w/ BBC to show the new episodes simultaneously.

This is really the only thing put out by NBC that I've enjoyed, lately, besides maybe certain episodes of America's Got Talent. NBC used to be tops w/ me but it's falling behind Fox. Merlin is the ONE show I'd come back to NBC for.

I checked out the BBC Merlin website to see if we could watch full episodes there... We can't! The BBC website is pretty cool. Has a lot of video clips and extras (that we can not view since we're in the U.S. -- frustrating!). NBC sure isn't spending any money promoting the show. It's like a red-headed stepchild.

I'm disappointed that the show stopped and there's been no announcement - new/next or never again? What's it going to be NBC? I'm voting for "Continued".

I just found the release date for Merlin Season 2 for BBC1. The second season will start September 19th.

Now the question to ask is when NBC will get it? I will probably see it before NBC gets it but I seen season 1 before NBC got it and I watched it again on NBC. Merlin is a great show so I have no problem watching it again.

I read that they might be showing season 2 on apple ITunes, though at 1.99 an episode, it gets pretty pricey to watch.

They're also telling people to go to NBC's twitter site and post if you want Season 2. Though I still think that if season 2 is shown in the states, it will be shown on BBC America. NBC doesn't have a good record of continuing its shows, and it hardly promoted this one at all - I stumbled on it by mistake.

I hope NBC does Season 2. We need our Merlin fix.

Hello, I was wondering if Merlin is going to be back on NBC this fall.
I have been a fan of the show since it started. I was looking for it in my local tv listings and have
not seen it listed on Sunday nights anymore. Can anyone tell me if they are filming more episodes
or has it been cancelled. I have enjoyed them so much and would be sorely dissapointed if it has
been cancelled.

The BBC has renewed Merlin for season 2. It airs on the BBC on Sept 19 2009. If its back on NBC, it probably won't happen till 2010.

I read somewhere (not sure if rumor or not) that NBC will be bringing back Merlin in Feb 2010. I guess we will have to wait and see. But, I sure hope so.

I hope so - the date sounds about right, and I don't love watching TV shows on my computer when I have a nice TV I could use.

I don't have BBC1.. does anyone know how these BBC channels exactly work? Would they ever put Merlin on BBCA before February?

I'm hoping nbc will run it next summer for us or in the winter during repeats. I'd watch repeats and pay whatever to see the second season so I don't mind paying to see it at Apple or I tunes or wherever. I'm just hoping fans in America get to see Season 2 somehow. I know it has a good fan base those that do love it so hope that helps it. I'm grateful nbc brought it to us this summer. I had so much fun with it and hope the fun continues with Merlin in the US. I recorded a lot of the shows so I have them to watch and I will buy the dvd if it comes out in the US soon as it's released. There has to be a way we'll get season 2. I'm glad it's doing so well in the UK though and has another season and more there. That helps it save it from axe city right away. LOL

My husband & I love Merlin. Is NBC going to add the show to its regular schedule?. I hope so. We loved Kyle XY on ABC family got burned with that cancellation

I also wanted to put my vote in for season 2 of Merlin to continue. I've never been a huge fan of any t.v. series but I am with Merlin. It's to the point that if I miss an episode I actually come on here so I can catch up on them. I even created this account just so I could say I wanted it to continue. So I hope it does.

Bring back Merlin season 2. Seriously, is there not enough people on the message board to show that people want to see it? Do you not note that people are complaining about how hard it is to find some version of season 2 online? Seriously. Just play it. Advertise better, and you'll make money.
