Overall, a disappointing episode. Hardly any trainer reactions to anything. Maybe it was while I was fast-forwarding, but did they even show Bob's reaction to Mo being sent home last week instead of Tracey? I saw the reaction of the other team, and Tracey's annoying waterworks (not even two min into the show!), but not the trainers. I have to say I don't love the 'going home' episodes. It's just a lot of crying and talking about how they have to change their families, blah blah blah. They show them eating a bunch of garbage or their struggle working out at home. I have to say, after working out every single day for six weeks, you really SHOULD be able to manage to get a great workout on your own at the gym. Danny sure did - he was sweating and working just as hard at home as he does on the ranch. For Amanda to be wandering aimlessly in the gym? What the heck was that?? Does anyone know if they are prohibited from employing a personal trainer during their week home? If I was going home for a week, I'd drop $500 to have someone work me out like a dog three or four hours a day.
I think voting Dina off was definitely the work of secret alliances going on. I personally think it should have been Shay - HOW she is not losing huge weight is beyond me. I remember Tara consistently losing huge numbers, and she was nowhere near as big as Shay. Really, the pounds should be pouring off her by now. She must not be adhering to her diet or workout routine. I don't see her making it in the real world at all and that makes me so sad when I think of Antoine and Seans sacrifice for her.
Well, I think I watched about 30 min total in this episode - had to fast forward through the family tears and all of Tracey's "the world revolves around me!" speeches. God they give her WAAAAY too much camera time. I hope next week's is better!

Good Am,
I haven't read all thirteen pages so some of this might be redundant. Anyway, first off, saw Coach Mo on the Today Show yesterday am. He looks great but admitted he does have some serious injuries that would have prevented him from giving it all at the ranch.
Now for this week, I don't fully understand how the elimination went down. That said, Dina's son was precious, but her and Shay's husbands were not really supportive of them especially at the restaurants. Unless the whole family changes its' habits, the contestant is due to fail.
Way to go Danny. What an impressive weight loss. With support like that at home, you will be just fine when you are home for good.
Bye til next week.

1. Shay, at 400+lbs, is happy losing 5lbs then complains about the 200+lb girl losing only 4lbs!?
2. Fact: Daniel should have been voted off. 2nd time around. No excuse for +1lb at his age & experience.
3. I'm no longer upset at Tracey. If Blue Team is feeble enough to keep her on, then I hope they go first.
4. The previews are always cutoff on my DTV DVR just after the hour. I need to record Jay Leno to see it.

I am wondering why the black team members were shocked when they got on the scales. These people who got sent home for a week had to know somewhat a little of their progress. Most of them have scales in their bathroom. I bet you anything they got on the scale each morning and checked their progress. I know I would.

Last night was really uneventful.
I wasn't surprised to see Dina voted off since she didn't see to quite fit in with everyone else. Daniel is very supportive to his team mates so I understand why they wanted to keep him around. Not sure why Amanda slipped under the radar because I think next to Daniel she is the weakest link on the black team. Shay and Danny are the heavy weights so it's easy to see why they are there. I find the black team to have big hearts and lots of emotion while the blue team appears to be the game players plus they got Tracey and Liz who are both major drama queens.
Overall I'm just not finding anyone on either team to be very inspiring yet compared to previous seasons. Heck, we are almost 1/2 way through this season and none of them stand out except in the drama department.

Good point! I have really had it with Shay. She complains about everyone and everything and probably does the least amount of work - next to Amanda. She has no real drive or fire in her to do the work and take full advantage of the incredible opportunity she has been given.

Shay need to get voted off. She is ripping others for their weight loss when she only drops 5? And she is worthless or a liability in all challenges. She still has so much weight to lose if one of the trainers gets through to her, she will be a force in the later weeks. (I personally think she NEVER will wise up). ANd why is she always playing the alone card? She has a family at home - but the kids didn't seem too happy to see her.

A 7 year old boy was killed in a horrible accident here last Spring because his father took him into a gym though it was against the rules and he had been told repeatedly not to do it. (Of course the gym has closed and is probably being sued.) Showing Dina's son in the gym and riding an apparatus was really irresponsible. Gyms are no place for children. Here a kid has to be 13 and some of the smaller ones look at risk to me trying to lift weights. Parents don't always make the best decisions.
I totally "got" Daniel. My mother had me on diet foods at 14 and I wasn't even fat! I just wasn't her body type - she was lucky to reach 100 pounds and tiny. It really affected how I felt about myself for my entire life and she pushed diets on me for over 40 years. Then I got very thin nursing my 2nd child and I was "too skinny". Don't get me wrong, she was a lovely person, but she really had a hang-up about my size no matter what I did.
I hate product placement and would boycott the products but I am a vegan anyway - LOL. Best thing I ever did.
Dina looked great. Loved the makeover. Guess she wasn't making very interesting TBL episodes. I can't wait for the makeovers and end show, but other than that I'm DVRing the epis and fast forwarding through most of the show. I feel it should be more like Survivor. Show the challenges, some working out and info, then the weigh ins. The other stuff is just garbage. First commercial break, I clocked it at 5 minutes in. Sheeeee!

What, exactly, has Tracy done to deserve such vitriol? She put Amanda on the scale instead of Rebecca because the pink team REFUSED to give her anything in return for the favor they were asking. Rebecca refusing to promise not to vote for me in exchange for putting her instead of Amanda on the scale would have sufficiently angered me to do exactly as Tracy did with no apologies whatsoever. Rebecca obviously has never heard the term quid pro quo. Like it or not, that is how we humans do things - you scratch my back, I scratch yours, and if you don't want to scratch my back, forget about me scratching yours. Of course, it is different with people who are close to you - you pretty much have to do things for close friends or relatives without asking for a favor in return, but that isn't the case here. Tracy just met Rebecca, and didn't owe her diddly squat. Rebecca had nerve to ask for a favor if she wasn't willing to give back in return.
Who knows why she put Shay on the scale instead of Daniel - maybe that was mean-spirited, but we don't exactly know the whole story.
And the way that she split the teams - maybe she has her reasons. Maybe she saw that Liz was entirely too reliant on Danny, and wanted to see her stand on her own two feet. After all, Liz isn't going to have Danny at home. Maybe the same thing with Amanda - Amanda was entirely too reliant on Bob, and Tracy wanted Amanda to stand on her own two feet as well. In other words, maybe she formed the teams with the best of intentions.
At any rate, she doesn't come close, IMHO, to the evil that is Vicky and Heba. Those two were aggressive, sneaky, and out and out mean. Tracy hasn't been mean to anyone. She hasn't talked smack about anyone. She hasn't yelled at anyone, or tried to cause divisions in the house the way that V and H did.
And you forgot to mention Heather and Kai from season 3. Never have I disliked a contestant as much as I disliked Heather, who ripped a poor girl a new one in the very first episode with a tantrum never seen before or since. That girl didn't deserve it, and got voted out because the mean girl bloc was already formed between Heather, Kai and Pam, but the girl got the last laugh, as she looked gorgeous, I mean gorgeous, at the finale. Can't remember her name, though. All I remember is that is a former model and seemed to be hispanic.

WHAT ABOUT DANNY!???
Danny is my favorite on the show. He is one of the only ones who went home &&& DIDNT go out to a restraunt with friends/family. Why would they go to a restraunt when they are suppose to be loosing AS MUCH WEIGHT AS POSSIBLE!???? Although they ordered food, it's still NOT the best possible. Danny is a strong man & I think he has what it takes to be the biggest looser.
I loved how he was tempted to hangout & go to the zoo with his family, but told his daughter he couldn't because he might not be able to spend minutes with her now...but it will add on years. He is truely there to loose weight and I was so happy how much weight he lost at home.

I was not at all surprised that Dina went home last night. If you watch the shows closely, you will have noticed that Daniel, Shay, Amanda, and Rebecca had already formed a pretty tight alliance before the teams split into black and blue. So, I know that Shay,Daniel, and Amanda will hang together when voting. This is a warning for Abby and Danny...they better stay above the yellow line. I believe that this alliance will vote them off, even though they are the strongest members of the team.
I am not positve if Abby is a part of this alliance yet, even though she voted with them last night. She could have been thinking that if those three had voted for Dina, and everyone else had voted for Daniel, the blue team, (being the tiebreaker) would have voted her (Abby) off because Danny had immunity, and Abby was the next strongest on the weight loss. Knowing this, she may have swung with the "alliance" to save herself, but I don't think they will try to save her in the long run.

A 6 inch veggie sandwich has 230 calories and that includes the whole wheat bread. A 6 inch honey oat has 260 calories and she took out the inside so that will reduce the calories (I may try this) and got a footlong. She does get to eat calories, you know so stop judging. Geez!!!

I think what many may be forgetting is that these are step children. Not all step children take to a step parent quickly. Many resent the step parent even if that step parent had nothing to do with the break of of the parent's marriage. We don't know the whole story here with Shay and her step children, but I got the impression that they aren't with their father and Shay all the time and I don't believe anything has been said about how long they have been her step children. That relationship may be very new, it may not. But if it is new, they all could still be trying to figure out how to work the relationship out.
Just some thoughts.

The first 5 weeks of BL8 have shown Shay time and time again talking about how “she has no one at home”. Other contestants have also commented that “Shay has no support system at home”. This seemed to be a contributing factor as to why she wasn’t voted to go home back in week 3.
Then, as if by magic….Shay goes home for a week……and SURPRISE…she not only has a husband, but two step-sons as well. He may not be supportive or understanding, but he’s not invisible.
