I can't believe that even to contact the Help Desk, I had to scroll all the way to the right to post. Then I'll have to scroll to the left and then scroll down to add reply!!!!! This is truly a PIA!!!!

Have you ever heard the adage, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"? The last time you made "improvements" the board was screwed up for about a week, and after all this time, you still haven't fixed my screen name. It's supposed to be NoleDays, NOT noledays.

Earlier tonight the subforums were fine, but after I ate and came back and refreshed tbey were f-ed up again!!! We have a topic where we post pictures and then post funny captions. We haven't been able to have our fun because it's such a PIA to post!!!!!

And, normally, my banners are centered and when I post the Anti-caps I center them. But when I went back, NONE of them are centered.

Please go back to the old version, or fix the subforums.

If you go the the invision board, you should be able to find a skin that's already made and perfect and use that rather than trying to build one. Just sayin.

Ok, it is all messed up for me too. In the subforums the text is too small and nothing it separated so it is harder to read the topics. Try to preview a post before you post it, the preview is in a long super-narrow column that makes it impossible to preview. I loved the old format, it was user friendly and looked a lot better.

I got to this section yesterday and no one started a topic about
this issue.

is it just the Days message board? or all the message boards.
it's difficult to have keep scrolling back and forth to do a message.

the problem is in Salem Place, all the sub forums in
the love section and where we PM to each other.

I hope someone in tech support will let us know
when it will be fixed. and why was it undone
yesterday.

I'm hoping that the fact that a tech has not responded to this topic means they are working 24/7 on the problems and just don't have time to post a reply here. Otherwise, I might start thinking that actually posting here is an exercise in futility, and the techs just come here to get a little chuckle at those of us who are tearing our hair out over the current problems with the board.

Friday was a little better when we didn't have
to scroll over to post.

When the board went down around midnight last night, I hoped that meant all the bugs were being fixed...but nope, still screwed up.

And I'm confused...I got an email from the Administrator today, telling me my screen name had been changed (back to) NoleDays. I was so excited! Then I came to the board and it's still saying, noledays.

I just noticed it's fixed now...thanks!!!!


Now, if we could only fix having to scroll back and forth to post in certain forums...

I've reset your log-in four times now, and for some reason it isn't sticking. Are you logging out of the system each time you leave the site? I'm going to reset you again, could you try not logging out, if that's the case? We'll see if this works.

Nope...I stay logged in all the time. Yesterday when it wasn't fixed after I got the email, I thought perhaps I needed to log out and log back in again. It didn't work then, but later I noticed it was NoleDays. Still later, I realized it had reverted to noledays, so I did log off and back on, but it didn't work.

Thanks for replying and thanks for trying to fix it. Back when it first happened, they suggested I "change" my screen name back to NoleDays, but it told me the name was already taken.

I wish I had answers for you, but, unfortunately, I don't, I will try to get answers for you though. The board appearance change happened on Monday, so, there are bound to be issues that need resolved. In the meantime, if you could, would you make a list of the problems you are encountering, where it is happening if it is limited to one or two areas, and if you can get a screenshot that is even better. Then, you can either post the information to this thread, or, if you prefer, pm it to me and I will send it upward. The more specifics we have the better. No one will be in the offices until tomorrow, but, the quicker you can get me the details, the better.

Any part of the board that has the new skin is messed up. The new skin has the red banner at the top, and the red trim on all the buttons.

1. the default font is too small.
2. the post page is displaced far to the right, so you have to scroll a page to the right to type in your post, then scroll back to the left to hit the "post" button.

Some parts of the Days of our Lives forums still have the old skin (it has a Bo and Hope Banner and a pink trim), and these operate normally. These are:

1.The main Days board
2. Salem Spectator

Other parts of the Days of our Lives forums have the new skin and the issues. These are:

1. all the child forums to the Love in the Afternoon parent forum
2. Salem Place
3. Voting booth.

I haven't looked at other forums on the NBC board, but that covers the Days of our Lives forums.

Besides my screen name (which has been screwed up since the last "improvement" debacle...) as you can see, replying to posts in the subforums and PMs is a real PIA. Also, when you try to use colors, the colors are so small and so close together, you can't choose the color you want. Additionally, I like my banners centered (that's why I've kept them enabled in these posts even though only Days allows two) and when I post Anti-caps in the Basic Black sub-sub-forum, and nothing is centering in the sub and sub-subforums.

Interestingly, I've just gone through an upgrade on one of the networkd I use at work (a State network.) and they brought it out before all the glitches were fixed...then told us to use the old version...brought back the new version and we have to keep emailing the techs to let them know of even more problems.

On the one hand, I realize you won't know the problems until the "improvements" are out there, but I'm going through this at work and then have to deal with them in the place I come to chill from the stress of work.

Okay, what's up with the noledays_01? Not liking it...even noledays was better than that. Why is is so difficult to put my screen name back to the original NoleDays?

Please fix the board, I am having horrible loading times. I have dsl and this site does not want to load, it is the only place I post that I am having trouble. I have my computer set up so I don't think it is me and it didn't start doing this until this new format came about. Infact while the changes were going on I would be fine on the old setup but as soon as I went to a forum with the new orange set up I would have a ton of issues. I'm using Firefox and have problems with it here, but
I get same stuff other sites. Being on dial up a problem.

I even get message here in corner that message will close in 2 seconds.
unsure why that happens.

I miss the icons in messages. I still don't have color or
faces. I'm doing by copying/pasting.

Every since the board changed, I can NOT "ADD REPLY" or start a topic! The only thing I can do is "FAST REPLY"! This is getting OLD quickly! What is wrong and how does it get fixed?!

I have the latest version of Firefox and a fast DSL modem. This is the only site I am having issues with so the problem is definitely at NBC's end.

I have both IE8 and Firefox and neither one is working right. I was able to log in on my first try this evening so that's good, but my load times are still horrible. These weird little columns are driving me nuts, makes it hard to read.

The add reply screen is SO messed up! And I can't start a new topic!

I know, and I haven't ever had so many errors pop up. I have DSL and it's usually pretty blooming fast, but not here. ACK!

Guys, if you will browse the thread, you will see they are working on trying to fix the problems, please, you'll just have to be patient as they work their way through the system to find out what is going on and why.

I guess my biggest issue is that I am having a really hard time reading...the font is entirely too small for my rapidly aging eyes

are trying to post what is wrong with site. Some
people have different problems than others.

If someone different has problems other than those that have already been posted then they should add the to this thread. But, if the problem is already here, it is not necessary to keep repeating the complaint and then complaining repeatedly that it hasn't yet been fixed when it's been posted that they are working on a solution.

"View New Posts" is fixed! Yay! There's hope!

Please please fix the formatting on these forums!!!! Text is all bunched up to the left on the pages and most print it way too small. Doesn't matter what settings I use in my browser I can't view the forums like before. I can't believe changes like this were made without doing some testing before going live to make sure it all works correctly on multiple OS and browsers.

Without beating this dead horse too much it looks like I'm having all the same issues.

Interestingly the exact symptoms are different depending on what browser/OS I am using. I use Win7/Firefox at home, and the postings look normal, but when I reply or add a post the text entry box is all mashed on the right of the screen. On another computer running XP/IE the postings are all mashed up on the left but the text entry box looks more or less normal. I'll try all my different iterations of Firefox/GoogleChrome/IE8 at home later.

Overall a rather unpleasant experience.

Glad to come across this. I thought It was my computer. Everything was ok until I changed my e-mail address in mynbc, then all of the issues already reported.

It pops up a lot, even if I hit yes or no, keeps popping up.

I have a new problem, The little boxed that have information regarding rules and etiquette is overlapping the information that tell you the board>Forum>Topic you are in, (the ones that serve as links back to the Forum page). It is weird because it doesn't do it all of the time, just every one in a while. That started today, this is on the Days Of Our Lives forum that I am having problems. I also post on the Biggest Loser Forum, it has the old format and it runs great, no problems at all. Thanks!

Very interesting. I have XP/IE6 at work (yes, the dark ages) and everything is mashed left but replies/posts look norma when editing. At home with Win7/IE8 it runs really fast but no advanced features are enabled. You can only post in plain text and there are no graphics on the pages. With both Firefox and Google Chrome the results are the same. Existing posts look OK, but when editing/posting everything gets crunched to the right of the screen. You can see the "frame" boarder that the editing box is supposed to be inside, but the edit box is displayed out and to the right of the frame.

Hope you guys can get it squared away soon.
