I used to love The Office, but these days, I get more out of Community than The Office. My 3 points:

Cruel
The writers are extremely cruel to the characters. Jim and Pam couldn't just get married, no she had to get pregnant first. Michael couldn't stay with Jan or Holly, no, that was too good, so now he's with Pam's mother. Cruel to Pam. It just goes on and on.

Crude
Every episode there's a crude comment which the writers pretend to bury in the dialog, but not very subtly. I've heard Michael say all kinds of nonsense, including "golden shower" and many other crude things. The wedding episode was full of it also. Comments on condoms, etc. etc. etc. It's an attempt to get good water cooler buzz, but in a Jr. High kind of way.

Crumbling
It seemed for a while that the show had a great story line, with this great romance, and the quirky cast, but these days there is only nasty hateful stuff. They don't know what to do, so they just humiliate and torture the characters. Sorry, but I really used to look forward to this show, but don't anymore. Even the commercials for the show are embarrassing. Why did they take the SNL sketch with the gift wrapped item in front of Michael? Sad
