Noah says that he needs Isaac's help to save Claire b/c he doesnt know what Sylar looks like.....yet he and Elle created Sylar....am I missing something?

Hes sitting at the same diner as Sylar and doesnt see him?

My thought exactly. I really hate it when the writers do this. It makes me feel cheated. What was the point of season 3 at all if the writers are going to ignore it? What's next? Arthur never came back from the dead? Mohinder and Ando never acquired any powers of their own? Primatech never burned down? Sloppy! Sloppy writing. I hate to say it but you'd never see this sort of sloppy writing on LOST. It really hurt an otherwise terrific episode.

The Company lies to everyone, and in fact rescued Sylar at the end of S1 and then 12-13 episodes later gives him clairvoyant touch. They (Angela) has always needed Sylar (bomb, Nathan, SOMETHING) and i have always wondered if Angela has always known.

Why should we let the Company lying to Isaac, who needs to know nothing of anything (since they WANT the bomb to go off), create another plot hole smile.gif

I have to agree. Even if HRG was lying about knowing the appearance of Sylar, he was still in the diner at the same time as him and surely would have seen him.

I'm actually a little curious why HRG wasn't suspicious of the guy all in dark clothes, wearing a dark hat and sitting at a table which gave him a view of the entire diner, even if he didn't know Sylar's appearance as he says. Come on Sylar was pretty damn obvious right?

the only thing that could have made season 4 work is if in the VERY first episode angela woke up and said "wow that was the worst long dream, i ever had! felt like 20 weeks."

i hope whoever wrote season 3 is now sitting homeless in a gutter giving sex favors for cigarettes.

I see. I was wondering the whole time if I was missing something or if it was just another plot hole.

That would have at least made sense. The rivalry between HRG and Sylar is the best part of Heroes, in my opinion. They're just throwing it away. I suppose HRG never captures Sylar after the Homecoming incident and never drilled into Sylar's skull, either.

This is why people stop watching the show. Heroes (sometimes) is like the Bernie Maddoff of TV. All your investment in it becomes worthless.

I don't think I'm following what they did wrong.

Was Sylar not known as Sylar until after Claire was attached?
Is there evidence suggesting HRG knew what Sylar looked like before Claire's attack?
I don't get the problem (probably obviously).

In villains we saw that Elle and HRG made Sylar together by pushing Gabriel to take a guy's ability. HRG clearly saw his face from the camera that Elle wore into his apartment while they had pie together etc.

I really wish they would stop abandoning past knowledge each season gr.

For some odd reason, the line was changed.

In the original episode where that scene was shot, Noah said "because nobody knows where he is"

In this past episode, it was changed to "because nobody knows what he looks like".

Noah already knew what he looked like. That's why the original line was him not knowing where he was.

HRG and Elle basically "created" him by pushing him to take a guys ability. Even if HRG only knew him as Gabriel Gray, knowing how smart he is, Im sure he could have come to the conclusion that Sylar = Gabriel Gray. I mean how many "special" people could HRG possibly know that steals powers by cutting heads open?

That is what it should have been. This way no one (viewers) would feel like they were being cheated (by writers for ignoring the story.). It also would have allowed Noah and his lady-friend to travel around Odessa looking for him

Of course you have to remeber back in season one they never showed his face till after homecoming ( I think) it was always shadowed over.

Seriously though, I can't honestly believe he couldn't put those pieces together.

That whole scenerio was strange. Maybe HRG did know Sylar sitting in the diner, but really what's he gonna do, arrest him?

Maybe he wanted to know if it was for sure Sylar coming after Claire. The paintings I think seemed to just show a shadowy figure. Remember, this was before Sylar really came in close contact with any of the main characters. I can only assume he would think Sylar would be after Claire knowing what he does. He wanted to see his face and wanted to know exactly where he was gonna be to bring backup to capture him, you know the story.
