While watching Monday's Trivia Break with Danloe, I noticed that Chloe was wearing a grayish brown dress and a light tan jacket. Daniel was in his scrubs. Different clothes from what they were wearing in the actual episode.

Does anybody know when the scene with the different clothes airs? Could it be not until Dec 3? I so hope not!

It has not aired yet. There seems to be a bit of a lag between when the trivia breaks air and when the actual scenes play. The good news.....they are discussing a wedding!!!!!!! xoxo

Tell me about it. They haven't discussed their wedding but at least Daniel did mention a honeymoon. I guess this means that they are still planning on getting married.

~hugs~seriously, there is something really wrong with TPTB running DOOL...Danloe could be put on the cover of a romance novel, my anti-soap opera mom even thinks they look great together, they have great romantic chemistry, SC's very talented actor, NB is at her best with him, and yet they wasted almost the entire year by keeping her with Lucas. Insanity! General Hospital recently stole the basic Danloe s/l, right down to Liz clinging to her relationship with Lucky because its safe/secure/kids together but there's no passion. Of course, Chloe/Lucas didn't have much of a history, and it was HIS daughter not THEIR daughter - there's a reason you're not supposed to move in with a guy who has kids that quickly. It makes a huge mess, no responsible parent would invite their girlfriend of less than 2 months to move in & start calling her a potential step-mother..uggg...the s/l still ticks me off and its over. xoxoxo

Ok, now you're reading my mind. I wrote a letter to Dena Higley and told her that Danloe look like they belong on the cover of a Harlequin (spelling?) romance novel.

I really do think that SC is a much stronger actor that NB. He really does bring out the best in Nadia. (Don't get me wrong I love Chloe and have since her character first appeared on the show. And that's due mostly to Nadia. When first he came on the show the only thing I looked forward to with Daniel were his shirtless scenes. And that was just not enough!)

SC is one of the strongest actors in soaps; part of the reason I enjoy Danloe is that he's a very talented actor & now that they're not writing that awful immature surfer dude lingo, and playing to his strengths, Daniel is a great character. So he's not a vet, so what? Most of the current cast was new once upon a time. xoxoox

I wasn't watching much last year, I missed all of them until the engagement party. Its all about the voice for me, even the hottest guy will fizzle for me if he sounds like an idiot (have you seen the gym scene where Daniel & Philip are talking like a pair of frat brothers? ). xoxoox

Yes. Both were jerks. I wish Chloe walked in during their conversation. She could have knocked them both down a peg or two.

They certainly deserved it. I watched this on youtube. Two adult men acting like teenagers. Comparing notes about women all that was missing was their little black books. Gimme a break. This was yet again another plot driven scene and not a good one. Phillip and Daniel bonding pleaseeee.

I happened to watch this episode on tv. I really thought Chloe was going to burst in and tell both Daniel and Phillip off.

At least we got a much better gym scene with Danloe months later!

So we did. The flirting was oh so obvious as was the chemistry. I was really glad when the writers decided to make them a couple.

I loved the way Daniel smiled up at Chloe when she asked if he was acquiring a taste for her. Sweet and almost shy.

They are just magic together! Daniel's character was a total turnoff when he first came to Salem, totally wasted SC talents, thankfully they let Daniel "grow up" and become the strong intelligent character he is today.

Well, I wouldn't say a total turnoff! I always liked looking at him in a towel. But the almost goofy persona Daniel had pre-Chloe was ridiculous.
I love both Daniel and Chloe together. They - especiially Daniel - is ruined now without the other.
If Daniel and Chloe split up for good, Daniel will be wasted again. And I for one will not watch.

Yes, I agree. "Surfer Dude" Daniel was just a good looking mess. When Days got a new EP, we got a more mature, interesting, adult, Daniel for his pairing with Chloe.

Just slightly and shoving Chelsea in a locker was a big ???? how is that supposed to be appealing? The writing last year really made Daniel look like a dog, a complete womanizing jerk with a fear of commitment; and the dialogue made him sound like an idiot. Its a good thing they never put Chelsea in a pleated skirt and knee socks, there is something really unattractive about a 40 year old guy who acts like a teenager and is kissing a girl who looks 15. I don't consider Daniel a pervert, to me last year was one super awful rehearsal that they fixed when they rewrote Daniel to behave like an adult and not a teenage wanna be. Which is part of the reason I'm having a very hard time with the rumors that Daniel is the father of Carly's baby from a ONS at a convention....it turns him back into an irresponsible creep and they spent all year redeeming him, they even made him sleep on the sofa because Chloe was still married to Lucas, as if a man with a head injury and a woman fresh out of a coma could have had sex?? This show is starting to really suck again. xoxoxo

I really think that the whole Dansea mess almost ruined Daniel for good. And you nailed it on the head when you said that even though Chelsea was supposed to be 21-22, she looked like a teenager. How funny that Daniel looked younger when he was paired with Chloe. And thank goodness TPTB decided to mature Daniel's character. I never considered Daniel to be a pervert during the Dansea storyline. It's just that Chelsea looked like a neice with a crush on her hot uncle. I understood Chelsea's interest in Daniel, I just couldn't get why Daniel would be attracted to Chelsea.

ITA. No Danloe, No Me.

My honest opinion of that? Gary Tomlin will do what he wants to do and for some reason Chloe isn't a front-burner character in his vision for DOOL. The rumors of a Broe or Phloe revisit next year seem unlikely to me, based on what's playing out on screen and the way they are writing Daniel - this s/l is less about busting up Danloe (if that's the plan) than it is making Carly the heroine of DOOL, so the idea that they'll give her a guy who ditched the "only woman in the world for me" is sketchy at best.

I have heard about the "viewer panel survey" that wanted to know what they should do with Chloe that didn't include Daniel as an option, but if they don't want to put her with Philip or Brady and the answers were Philip/Brady, then what you have is another Lucas - a character the audience refuses to accept in a new pairing. Also, SC could always choose to leave DOOL when his contract is up (the mysterious Quebec project could be a backdoor pilot for all we know) which leaves Chloe w/no love interest. I find it pretty amusing that the power & ego of an executive producer is considered less important than a fan poll or survey - just look at the Philip/Morgan pairing that stuck Chloe with Lucas last year. That's what Ed Scott wanted, so that's what we got, 80,000+ posts in favor of Lumi be damned. xoxoxo

All good points. It really boggles my mind to think that GT would rather have CC as a front burner character and not Nadia. Or Heaven forbid - a Daniel/Carly pairing instead of a Danloe pairing. What idiot looks at those pairings and would push for Daniel/Carly?

I really hope that both SC and NB are on Days for a long time to come (as long as Danloe is still together.) But lately, I find myself hoping that they both leave the show together and ride off into the sunset.

At least you can say that Sami's love interests - Lucas, EJ and Rafe all have huge followings. LUMI, EJami and Safe all were hits.

If the writers would write Chloe's character a little more realistically and less like a scrapgoat she would be a front burner character. Repeating the same line over and over not appealing. Having Chloe be the one to spill the beans all the time not appealing. Having Chloe be spunky, fiesty and sexy again - way more appealing.

ITA, and I don't understand why they chose to write Chloe as a prop for Lucas last year - while I was not fond of the FWB s/l with Philip, she was still more like Chloe than the girl who exited the elevator with Lucas after that hideous scene...she became all about getting revenge on Sami, shoving her thing with Lucas in Sami's face, then being the good live in girlfriend to Lucas - Chloe had no goals for herself, just this housewife thing with Lucas that made no sense and could never compare to the chemistry of Phloe or Broe, really Luloe was insane. If the worst rumors are true and Daniel has a kid with Carly, then its just going to get worse for Chloe in this s/l because she's already on the backburner. I apologize to any Lucas lovers who read this post, I just hated it when they paired Chloe with Lucas, she seemed like a prop to give him the pretty bride and the s/l was never about Chloe and her feelings. I don't watch DOOL for the men, I watch for my favorite character to have a storyline that is about her, like the leukemia s/l, I'm tired of Chloe being used to spread the bad news about Mia's baby, and getting no front-burner storyline in favor of Nicole.

Yeah, this is the post, as you can see I'm not in a good mood about the s/l. On the one hand, the Danloe reunion feels like a rewrite because it sure looked like she was going to go back to Lucas with a messed up memory and its not easy to chuck a s/l direction at the last minute (as BD's sudden exit in August suggests they did) but at the same time I'm really getting tired of Chloe playing supporting to characters I dislike (Sami and Nicole, especially Nicole she tried to destroy Chloe's face and crashed her wedding to Brady).

NBC has people on viewer panels (you can sign up on their main page) who answer questions about things like "how to improve Daniel."

The thing about the Danloe is ending talk - why bother to use them in trivia breaks and in the promos for the days online if the couple is such a total dud? Makes no sense, but then neither does Carly's story. That should be its own thread...all the inconsistencies in Carly's story. xoxoox

Here's a partial list of plot holes so far:
Carly saying "Justin can help me" when she saw "Justin Kiriakis gets charges dropped against Jonas" (it was something like that & there was no picture of Daniel, but still...if they're planning a Darly romance and she had his baby dontcha think Carly would have googled Daniel to see where he's living?

Carly's hallucination of Lawrence killing Bo and saying "this is what would happen if you ever had an affair" but CC told SOD Carly has a kid from an affair and Lawrence didn't kill the man she cheated on him with? So Larry couldn't find Daniel or she never revealed the man's name to protect him?

Victor telling Carly not to ruin Bo/Hope's marriage - how does a secret baby with Daniel ruin Bope's marriage?

And the biggest problem I have with the Darly rumors - what about Bo/Carly and their past? It just gets dropped so CC can have a hot lead in SC?? PR's not exactly chopped liver.

Why does this show waste Chloe all year with Lucas and then do this? What was the point of the deeper romantic connection over the summer?? xoxoxo

All good points/questions. But, storylines can change on a dime and if TPTB want a Darly pairing common sense will not stop them.

The only problem is that Bo/Hope (I think) will alwaysbe endgame. But what about Justin? Where does he stand? He is there just to support Hope?

This s/l was planned in May when they hired CC, so whoever her babydaddy turns out to be, I think it was decided months ago. I'm just not convinced that Bo/Hope are such an endgame couple that the writers aren't going to explore his past with Carly for a while; think of B&B and Brooke/Ridge/Taylor...they change partners every so often and are always in each other's orbit. Bo/Carly were very popular, but I agree if they want a Darly pairing nothing will stop them. But it makes the summer s/l very strange, because the poisoning/coma was about proving Daniel is devoted to Chloe, so he can't ditch Chloe on a dime without looking like a jerk again. An established character like Philip is different, he has an established fanbase and can go from Stephanie to Melanie and still get lots of love, Daniel was not a big hit character last year and redeeming him has been tricky.

Justin is soon to be divorced. WK is on contract thru March at this point.

But hasn't B&B been shifting the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor triangle every few months for years now?

I just don't see that happening to Bope. Although I'm sure a Bo/Carly story will be explored, I don't think Bope will ever end.

I have no idea about that; but while I agree Bope isn't going to end, the Bo/Carly relationship isn't going to go poof and vanish after Feb/March...they brought Carly back the second CC was available and just because Carly's not in town with the intention of being involved with Bo does not mean it won't happen. Sony ran a poll for 2 weeks asking about Bo/Carly & what it means for Bope...only 40% said Bope forever...there is a huge Bo/Carly fanbase out there, many people quit watching when she left and are back not to see her in a romantic thing with Daniel but with Bo (I'd have prefered Lawrence myself). I don't remember exactly when Taylor came back from the dead, but once she came back it was triangles forever (its been going on for years). xoxox

I did like Bo and Carly when another actor was playing Bo. But once Carly chose Lawrence over Bo I couldn't stand her. It would have made more sense to do a Hope/Bo/Carly/Lawrence tri, but Days ruined Lawrence forever. And this after redeeming him back in the 90's.

I really do wish that Carly is paired with Justin. Anybody but Daniel!

ITA. Put her in a triangle with Stefano and Kate. Carly/Stefano/Kate Doesn't matter who wins the prize is the same. The Phonix. Toss in Vic and it would be a great quad add Vivian and the possibilities are endless.

If Mel is an Alamain what a hoot with Vic, Viv, Carly , Phillip & Kate involved. If Daniel is the father who cares except for Vic.

That's what I keep thinking - making Daniel the father is such a dead end s/l - did they really offer Louise Sorel a 3 year contract so she could try to kill Carly and Daniel's daughter Melanie? What a waste of a great opportunity. Philip will be the one protecting Melanie in anycase, not Daniel. And Melanie is a very important character in this - she never dreamt of becoming a nurse, she dreamt of being rich & living a life of luxury which auntie Viv would gladly provide if she's Lawrence's daughter AND Melanie being an Alamain would let Vivian get her hooks into the K empire thru Philip.
