SUZE ORMAN GIVES CONTESTANTS TIPS ON FINANCIAL HEALTH AND SUPER BOWL CHAMP ROD WOODSON KICKS OFF AN NFL CHALLENGE – This week, the five remaining contestants get a surprise visit from financial guru Suze Orman, who talks to them about the connection between health and wealth and gives them tips on how to be financially fit when they get home. The players take a health quiz about the high costs of poor health, and later, they talk to trainer Bob Harper about leaving the ranch and the challenges they may face back home. Later, Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion Rod Woodson helps kick off an NFL challenge involving the weight they’ve each lost all season. Then it’s off to the weigh-in, where this week’s winner will get a home visit from chef Curtis Stone to show them how to cook healthy meals after they return from the ranch. Then one contestant is sent home, leaving the four “Biggest Loser” finalists.

Don't forget to tune in Wednesday night for The Biggest Loser: Where Are They Now? featuring 40 former contestants!

This sounds like an episode that everyone needs to watch. I hope they discuss how much it costs each year for an overweight person to have insurance, medical treatment, and how losing the weight saves them money in the long run. (Wonder if they'll mention that junk food costs less than healthy, which seems weird to me?)

I will be watching to see what tips they say can help save money. Maybe I can trim the budget again and actually afford a gym membership!

See ya'll tonight!

A few years ago my husband and I were really struggling and we went shopping at Sav-A-Lot (only once). We wasted money (b/c we couldn't eat most of it!) on crap, but it was cheap.

Things are better now, but we decided even back then that it's worth it to spend the money for good quality meats/poultry/fish and fresh produce (sometimes frozen) because we'll actually eat them!

I know Bob was on his kick about gardening a couple episodes back (and I think that's great), but I think it costs more than the piddling $12 he claimed was the investment to produce enough to feed all those people. It's still worth the effort, though, if you have the resources and space.

Enjoy tonight's episode -- and Happy Thanksgiving!!

Probably will not watch the entire episode tonight with Thanksgiving
cooking and stuffs. Plus tomorrow will be REALLY busy at the bank
and I need my beauty sleepy wink.gif

Hope everyone does have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Well if Amanda is below she'll go. Otherwise it's hard to say--Rudy and Danny can still pull some big numbers.
BreathinFire
LOL danny look like Nutty Professor on treadmil
bigwhiskers
i hope its liz or rudy
BobP
Alan and Amanda would seem to be the more obvious choices
Katieqball
I sure hope its either Rudy or Liz.. Either one I would be happy with.

Allan looks really good.

I second that!

i just realize that America's choice is wearing Pink Power ohmy.gif if Liz got eliminated, she could go against guys and go in diet and win the whole thing ohmy.gif

I hope it is either Rudy or Liz, Rudy would be my top pick for going home.

I was just thinking - the Biggest Loser has a better track record of couples falling in love then The Bachlor or Bachlorette!!!!!
RunnerKat
I would like to see Allen be in the final 4. I've always liked him. He always gave it all....I think I only heard him complain once but he pulled through.

Danny....absolutely.
Rudy....I say he's playing both sides. Physically, he's amazing and can easily become the "biggest loser" but game-wise....I don't trust him.
Liz....She's a wild card. Personally, I wouldn't mind her winning to show that a Grandma can be the biggest loser.
Amanda....She's also a wild card. Why did it take her to lose Rebecca before she realized that she had to do the work.

Good evening all! Had to rush home tonight! Can't wait to see the special!!

WOW what a great observation. And your so right.
LVSam3
Hi all!

Last week on the ranch. Already? Seems like this season went fast. Maybe because they got rid of two contestants a few weeks ago, that shortened up the season?

Anyway, I'll be curious to see who gets voted off this week. I tend to agree with Amanda, she has no alliances left, so if she falls below the line, she's probably gone.

Oh gosh... the product placement... Total cereal. :sigh.gif:

Now that I think about it....you're right!
CoraBelle
Wow that product placement caught me by surprise--I had just said to my daughter they had to have paid her some way--I guess Total did.
RunnerKat
Liz..."Working on it"....oh oh, that doesn't sound good! Hope they work it out!
bigwhiskers
liz has played the grandma card to the point of overkill.
i hope she goes but if not then rudy .. ill applaud someone who plays the game but these alliances and the i dont trust you stuff .. come on rudy who are you trying to fool
Katieqball
Im sorry but I am still so floored ( I dont know why ) that Liz is only in her late 40's. Just shocking to me.
pennysmom
Okay lets all answer the quiz questions

Alison's hair looks so cute.

chazee
Liz is actually looking younger
Katieqball
Did they all get schooled on this stuff before this challenge? Did I miss something?

She is. The weight was aging.
Kariina_4407
They are so lucky to have people putting money into their
Ameritrade accounts! I wish someone would do that for
me too!
RunnerKat
I knew obesity had hidden costs but wow, that was a huge wake-up call.

Bigwhiskers I thought the exact same thing but last week at the makeover show they said she was 49. I was shocked to say the least.

I am 10 years older than Liz, and I think I have more energy than
her even though I am overweight. I honestly think it is the fact
that she does not color her hair. I started going grey at 16 and
until about 3 years ago I colored my hair. I finally stopped cuz it
just got too expensive and I did notice that when my color grew out
and my hair is mostly grey that people treat me like I am much older
than they did when I colored my hair. Almost thinking of going back
to coloring it just so people don't make me feel like I should be sitting
in a rocking chair! tongue.gif

It does. I like it up and curly like that. I enjoyed that treadmill question challenge. Everyone won something, I learned a few things as did they and they exercised while they did it.

Pimping the cheerios, lol.
pennysmom
Oh Lord, now Cheerios, come on the winner only gets $250,000 I am sure they can afford this without all the product placement.

I think your right about the hair thing. I was a bit surprised that last week that they did not color her hair darker or something. Sure would have her look 15 years younger.

I hear ya, I've been coloring my hair to hide the grey since my 20's. I started buying the temporary hair color that washes out after about 20 washes, it's a lot cheaper than going to the salon and works pretty well.
CoraBelle
Good grief--is she about to declare her love for Bob!?!
