Studio 8H
From SNLWiki
Rockefeller Center's Studio 8H has a long and storied history. Before becoming home to Saturday Night Live in 1975, it was the home to the NBC Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Arturo Toscanini. When the orchestra disbanded, the studio sat empty for many years. When Johnny Carson pulled "The Best of Carson" from Saturday Nights, the network developed twin goals: fill the vacant time slot and fill the empty Studio 8H. The Jonas Brothers Should Be Musical Guests.
