people sometimes just don't know how to act around a disabled person. they are overcarfeull, try to be politically correct... it's strange how people are having such a hard time relating to anything that's different...

people sometimes just don't know how to act around a disabled person. they are overcarfeull, try to be politically correct... it's strange how people are having such a hard time relating to anything that's different... it's also an interesting topic to have a PSA about, because everyone knows someone disabled but never thinks about the topic as "awareness," like environmental awareness or health awareness |

I recently was helping my aunt waitress and seated a disabled person in a wheelchair, not that i care but it has significance in the story. any way the first waitress got the table and a second waitress went out of her way to go over and say that quote she was sorry he was hurtin he was uncumfortable for the rest of the meal as far as im concerned unless the subject is brout up by the disabled person, outsiders shouldn't even take notice much less bring it up. you never know if a peron has painful memories. |
